your regimen around friends and on vacation

Hmm, i think the only drawbacks to being on treatments is how you might be perceived about doing them if you spend the night at a friends house/their difficulty when on vacation.

Many of the treatments can't be exposed to temperature extremes which could be encountered on a car trip/vacation.

Does anyone vacation a lot and have a moderately difficult regimen to maintain?

Ever spent a night at your friends house and did you topicals?

Or did a friend see you?

Sadly i'm sort of embarrased to use such methods to maintain superficially fake hair but in a way proud that i go to greater lengths to take care of myself instead of just ignoring my problem.

What are your oppinions?

Do any of you guys travel on planes? How do you take your topicals with the new restrictions?

I have it a little easier as I keep my head completely shaved so keeping my treatment going through all sorts of situations is relatively easy. If I'm staying away with friend, I take my dutasteride tab and apply my minoxidil while I'm getting ready for bed in the bathroom and when I come out it just looks like my head is stil slightly damp from having a wash, and this dries in about 5 mins.

If my treatment do well and I decide to grow my hair out I dread to think how different things will get in this respect, not to mention the greasiness problems.

Funny that you brought this up because I am heading to Thailand on October 2nd. I have two topicals Rogaine 5% and Folligen that I apply nightly only. I pop a propecia at night as well but that is obviously no hastle.

I plan on packing my rogaine and folligen but whether I keep up my regime is a complete different story. Rogaine makes my hair greasy as hell and folligen turns it green...lol.

I too plan on traveling on October 2nd, to Puerto Rico. I realize that the restrictions are more lienant on domestic travel, but I plan putting my meds in my check in baggage.

Are liquids and meds still banned on the plane?

As far as hiding my regimen while with friends, I am still devising a plan. I working on a plan to apply minoxidil without anyone noticing that I put anything on my scalp. I think i can cover it with my hair.

dem,

I am taking almost exactly the same regime as you right down to the vive thickening shampoo lol. I am thinking of starting Dutas.

As for liquids and crap on the plane I know that in Canada they have reduced the restrictions. I plan on checking my luggage anyway.

I usually do the night application, go to bed with greasy green hair, then shower asap in the morning. I hope I will be able to do the same in thailand but I rarely apply topicals when I'm drunk lol.

It would probably be the safest bet to check in your luggage. I will do the same.

Its been another night on the town with me and I have had a few drinks, but I still have applied the minoxidil. Maybe the alcohol in your blood stream increases absorption. Ha. Just kidding. I plan on doing the same as you and applying minoxidil at night.

If your on finasteride and it is working stick with it. I only changed because finasteride stopped working for me. i had been on it a very long time. Enjoy your trip. Thailand sounds like a lot of fun.

You are ok if you check your bags. You are not allowed to carry-on any liquid/cream/etc over 4oz that you don't have a prescription for.

Missing your regime for a night or two will not matter.
This is another thing that makes hairloss such a pain in the arse. Having to plan your life around it. It's even worse if you are using concealers/thickening products.
