hi guys, i read the following in some biology journal at uni:
basically, it hypothesised that early onset of male pattern baldness (i.e. under 20s) could be due to the excretion of too much zinc in semen. zinc is an inhibtor of 5AR and may regulate its activity. It said that most men do not get enough zinc to replenish whats lost in semen (IF the male is having sex everyday), hence more DHT is produced.
It did stress that the follicles had to be genetically coded to be susecptible to DHT, so this theory does not hold true for all males.
i dunno. any truth in this???
