please tell me your experiences with minoxidil

I have used Rogaine and now generic minoxidil and they both result in horrible white flaking and a bad residue on my scalp--I tried every shampoo but they only thing that really helped me beat these obvious negative consequences was/is Folligen

Im thinking of ditching the Minoxidil

Ok so i guess i'll suffer a bit more and stay on with the minoxidil :) But i still am intrigued about adding Revivogen since isnt it supposed to block even more of the DHT than just finasteride alone? Anyone think this stuff is worth it?

Im thinking of ditching the Minoxidil

I've been on the Big 3 pretty consistently for the past 2 1/2 years, and have been using Folligen to control flaking for about 5 months...even so though, my scalp is still itchy and irritated, and I havent seen any regrowth... Do you think its okay for me to drop the Minoxidil from my regime...

    Arghhhh--Folligen turned my scalp green!

like i said i use 1ml per night with the dropper...in theory this means that the bottle should last 8 months, so i dont think too much is the problem...

    Arghhhh--Folligen turned my scalp green!

I use 1 ml with a dropper each night, and it doesnt stain my hair, but the actual scalp... I did go on folligen.com and saw someone suggest rinsing with lemon water, but that didnt do anything either... it just sucks cause i want this to work badly, and i think its starting to, but now i...

    Arghhhh--Folligen turned my scalp green!

I have been battling major scalp problems for months due to Minoxidil, using Nizoral and TGel to no avail (check out http://www.gourmetstylewellness.com/discussions/viewtopic.php?t=5987&highlight= for some background) and so eagerly awaited my arrival of Folligen. I got the stuff 2 days ago, and...

I need to up the ante in the scalp inflammation department..

in the meantime while i wait to get the Folligen, do you think its ok to use the generic dandruff shampoo everyday (not Nizoral) if i think it may help control the situation, or will that possibly be bad for my scalp?

I need to up the ante in the scalp inflammation department..

and need some advice... I have always had minor problems with flaking (little itching, however) since i have been on Minoxidil (5%), keeping things under control using a generic store brand dandruff shampoo (act. ingredient pyrithione zinc 1%) every day... Well after reading the boards...
