Look for studies by Kramer (or Kraemer) on http://www.pubmed.com
From what I remember those on a lifting programme of 2 years or more do have a higher baseline T level.
The Doctor says that NO stimulates regrowth and and I believe that NO is part of his NANO formulas. However, I have found this study:
Nitric oxide in the human hair follicle: constitutive and dihydrotestosterone-induced nitric oxide synthase expression and NO production in dermal papilla cells...
Does it make it less sensitive when you do 'spit' like v**** does? v**** acts on nitric oxide (I think). I have taken it in the past and when I do spit it is about half as intense as usual.
In fairness, he has developed these products himself and probably does not want others to know his formulations. For instance, in prescription prox, he has successfully combined spironolactone and minoxidil in the same formula - the only person to do so.
Cheers, fellas. He didn't charge but he is trying to sell me a laser treatment at £1250.
What about the magnification showing DHT in the follicles where there is a black spot at the base? Is this true? And will those follicles automatically affected DEFINITELY die out?
Give me some...
He got a device that magnified my hair so he could see my follicles. This is sehat he said:
1. He said that those with a black dot in the middle were 'blocked' by DHT and not getting enough blood. He said he thought that about 75-85% of blood was getting through in my case.
2. He also...
SO these studies conflict, then - one says IGF-1 is needed for growth, Dr Mirkin (unfortunate name or what?!) says it causes baldness. Guess it shows how far we are from understanding it...
My friend says that Dr Mercola (?) says that Insulin Growth Factor 1 causes hair loss. What is IGF 1 and what is its relation to insulin? Is the theory nonsense? Shall I pack in the booze and Diet Coke, as they lead to an insulin surge?
I mean, Proxiphen prescription costs £50 a bottle. I expect it to last at least 2 months. Whereas Regaine costs £30 for a month, extra strength. Okay, it aint cheap, but it does contain loads of beneficial constituents.
I am a pussy though and don't want to take finasteride for long because of dicking around with hormones.
OTOH I do use Nano shampoo and nizoral 3x and 2x per week respectively.
