    Nioxin Shampoo

Who cares who has a degree or not. This is the Propecia forum - bj10jgo should post about shampoo in the Styling & Hair Care Products forum.

    PROPEcIA for DIFFUSE Thinners

I don't know if propecia works better or worse for diffuse thinners. I've heard arguments for either side. Being a diffuse thinner myself, I can tell you about my experience. I have been using propecia for two years. When I started I thought I was losing my hair fast (which is probably an...

    masturbate can cause hairloss

While I have no specific evidence, I am of the strong opinion that reading hairloss forums might cause hairloss (in some people). For example, I read this forum and I am losing my hair. In fact, everyone here seems to be losing their hair...

    A Poll

    1. 34 2. Currently a NW2 (I'm more of a diffuse thinner) - I first noticed my hairloss 1.5 years ago 3. 1/4 proscar/day + nizoral 3xweek 4. 12 months (since December 2004) 5. Extremely oily hair, low jiz count, and sore nuts for the first 3 months. One funny thing, alcohol doesn't seem to...

    right, can you answer this?

Its funny. I had a minor itch before I started finasteride. That was definitely due to male pattern baldness. After I started taking finasteride the itch got much worse for about 9 months. The last while it is getting back to the pre-drug days.

diffuse thinning: a non-dht related question

I'm a diffuse thinner as well. I've lost hair all over my head, but the hairloss is most noticable in the horseshoe region. After 12 months on proscar my hair is finally starting to fill in and thicken. When it is dry, a person would be hard pressed to tell that I'm balding. When it is wet, my...

    how stupid is this??

My opinion: stopping propecia for a month isn't a big deal. If you keep up with your regimen you won't have set yourself back much at all (if anything).

    A success story ..... but

I think gourmetstylewellness.com has a sticky somewhere that says this, but the rule of thumb is to pick one treatment and stay with it for a minimum of one year (two years is probably better). Hair grows slowly and it takes a long time to properly assess the results of your regimen. This way you can try one...

I'm at a breaking point. What can a doctor do for my itch?

I've got the same problem - a mild scalp itch that just won't go away (but no noticable dandruff). I've been using Nizoral 3x a week for about six months now. I'm going to try an experiment and lay off the harsh shampoos for a few weeks and see if it gets better. It may be that overuse of the...

Misleading Propecia Statistic: A theory!!!!!! BY ME! TEEHEE!

In the propecia studies I have read, the subjects used T/Gel shampoo. Nizoral was avoided because its purported hair growth properties would interfere with the results. Also, subjects in both the placebo and medicated groups used T/Gel to moderate the effects of seborrheic dermatitis on the study.

sigh..should i throw in the towel?

I'm coming up to the one year mark taking proscar. It took 9 months before my hair stopped getting worse. In the last 2 months I've finally seen some improvements. My advice is to stay the course and stick with the treatment for a minimum of a year. I would rate myself as an average to poor...

could an illness trigger male pattern baldness???

Everybody thinks they have Tellogen Efluvium when they first start losing their hair. I know I did. The hope is that with Telogen Effluvium the hair will come back. Accepting male pattern baldness means that the hair is just gone. Some people obviously do get Telogen Effluvium. Get the Doctor to give you blood tests for iron deficiency and...

Dramatic results w/ Finpecia + Kirkland minoxidil (Pics incl)

You have grown back a ton of hair! Congratulations! It's a toss up of what to do about the sides... If they are not too bad, I would choose to stick with the regimen and keep the hair (my personal choice). Nevertheless, congratulations. You will give hope to a lot of people.
