Studies say that it can take up to 1 year to get VISIBLE results. And by the 2nd year of treatment the hair improves significantly. Some lucky men get the results much earlier.
You are the lucky one! Not all, can share similar results in such a short period of time. On the 4th -5th month of treatment I only noticed the stop of hair loss.
Hey baldymonk,
I understand your frustration and I agree that 1 year of treatment is a long period, however some men do really get the results in 1 to 2 years of treatment. I know it is hard to accept, and it is your choice to continue the treatment or to drop finasteride. Moreover, any medication can...
I didn't mean that sebum overproduction should be treated with finasteride or dutasteride. I mean that it should be treated anyway as it can in some way affect hair growth. I know there are different studies that show that sebum does not cause hair loss, other prove that sebum clogges the follicles thus...
Shedding about 80-100 hairs per day is normal. If you feel that you shed more, then it is time to think about the treatment.
If you loose a lot of hair per day, try to identify the real cause of shedding, this will help you to find the proper treatment.
A medical consultation can help.

dutasteride is considered to be more potent than finasteride and is prescribed when finasteride brings no results. Have you consulted any specialist in this regard?
I would not switch from finasteride to dutasteride without medical consultation.
It is also important to reduce the sebum overproduction.
I think that if the sides don't bother you much, you can wait a little as your body really needs time to adjust to new medication. The sides disappear with some time.
I've just joined the discussion. While reading the comments above, I was sure there will be a happy end of this story and I am glad that you are ok. I consider that any ED related issue first of all should be checked psychologically. Being with a girl for the first time can make you nervous that...
Ok, You are right, I've really meant 'stone cold action man'='superhero'.
I don't think Johnny Depp's hero in 'Pirates of the Caribbean ' is really a stone cold action hero. He is rather a comedic and strange hero that Johnny Depp usually plays.
