    9th month on finasteride

You're not alone man...I felt the weight gain right away. Put on 15 pounds in 2 months. It's not good weight either...a lot on the chest and a ring of fat just above the beltline. I work out religiously too and have always been super fit, so I know it's the finasteride...that was the only change I...

Propecia has worked well...but i have to quit now.

I would guess that there is a certain amount of statistical 'noise' in the measurements. I doubt the small differences between the 0.2 and 0.04 values at those days is statistically significant.

    laser hair removal.......on the head!

I know a laser hair removal clinic that did that. The lady (actually a doctor who performs it) told me she had tried to talk the man out of it...but he said he was certain and that he wanted to be slick bald the rest of his life so she did the treatment. Keep in mind that once you do it...

    weight gain again

Hmm...I actually had a blood test done last fall before I started finasteride. I was feeling really tired for days on end and decided to get checked out. I asked the Doctor to test everything under the sun (things like iron and such), but I don't think those were on the list. I'll give it a shot...

    weight gain again

Yeah. I was still gaining weight like mad after 2 months on 1mg. I reduced the dose down to 0.25mg and it still wasn't doing me much good. I'm off the stuff for now so I can flush my system, and am going to try it again in a month or so at 0.25mg dosage to see how I tolerate it

    weight and propecia/proscar/finasteride

I gained a buttload. Not looking good for the summer.

    weight gain again

My experience with weight gain on finasteride was NOT GOOD. My weight shot up almost overnight. I'm a really fit guy (plays lots of sports and works out religiously) and I know when my body is acting strange. It wasn't just the weight gain itself (my weight's been up and down before due to season or...

    Why I stopped using Propecia...

Yeah, I had an ache in the balls for a couple days, just a dull (very tolerable) pain that would come and go and it went away after a few days. I'm off of propecia now for other reasons (weight gain being the main one), but I still think it was doing some good. I was on it for 5 months...

    How long before...

Dude I quit finasteride for 2 weeks to drop the fat. I worked out really hard while on finasteride and barely lost anything. I dropped a whole bunch in the period where I was off finasteride. My chest was puffy, but it is much less so now. I don't think I had gyno or anything, just fat. It's stubborn fat too. I...

    Propecia and fleshy look

Who knows man....but either way, keeping your hair and your body is good news

Other Finasteride side effects- weight gain, water retention

Yeah...I used to have some pretty sweet abs, but gained a whole bunch of weight on finasteride (there was no other change to my lifestyle, and I'm rather dedicated at the gym). I gained it mostly on my abs and chest in the 1st 2 months. I'm on 0.25mg dosage now, and I think it's stabilzed and I've...

Does anybody on finasteride feel like they're a bit buzzed?

I noticed that my mind was foggy when I first started taking it. I was also super lazy and didn't have the energy to do a lot of things. I think I'm just sensitive to the drug and I'm super jealous of all the people here that have zero sides. It got better after a couple of weeks though...

Thinking of taking 0.2 mg finasteride (how can I do it? )

Do what I'm doing. Bite the bullet and buy Propecia and cut it into quarters. It's quite easy to cut with a sharp knife. It's costing me less than CDN$200/year so I can't complain.

Attached guys have it easier to cope with male pattern baldness

Dude...call me an idealist, but if you're a smart, professional guy and you're looking to move up in a company, hairloss should not be a factor. If it is, you're working in the wrong environment. Any person, short, tall, bald or not can look professional and dapper so long as they take care of...

Can Telogen Effluvium accelerate male pattern baldness?????????????

From what I've heard, Telogen Effluvium doesn't just affect the hair on top of your head, but that u can lose body hair (chest, nads, etc). It's a different mechanism than DHT induced male pattern baldness, so you're likely to have hair loss elsewhere too. I thought (was hoping?) that I had had it at one point since I went...
