Can you develop stomach ulcers from using finasteride? I know you shouldn't take pain killers too often if you don't need to but wondered if that was the case with finasteride or all pills in general?

It looks like the early start of male pattern baldness, but its not bad at all. If it bothers you,you could try some toppik fibres. You have a lot of hair so would only need a sprinkle.

Looks to me, you have more hair than when you started which i'd call success. Heck even maintaining is success. Having said that I'm hoping for regrowth and I guess we all are. Personally I would stick with finasteride, as I think the other drugs are more risky and you have decent hair.

Your experience is similar to mine. I stopped after a week but got back on it. The ball ache does subside but I can still feel it at certain times but it's not bothersome. I would give it another try and wait it out providing the symptoms don't get any worse.

Id give it a while. Ive been on finasteride about 6 months now and still have an ache in my right nut. It feels bruised when I lean on it. It is very mild and not as intense as the first few weeks. I also get mild abdominal pain. Most people get the ball ache and most get rid of it.

Exactly ! That's why it's such a great marketing ploy. It relies on people being afraid of losing more hair quicker if they stop. Personally if I feel im not at least maintaing and losing more while on the meds, i'll shave it all off and call it a day. Hope it works though.

Some good results and sound advice. When I had a full head of hair I wished I shaved it real short but never did.

Yeah, I don't think it is directly the drug. Probably cause I feel I need to use it is enough to be hacked off, together with the pressures of work and the recession. Oh well things could be worse, christmas is coming so it'll be party time soon enough.

I think its fair to say the general concesus is you should try finasteride for at least 12 months to see results. Hair growth is obviously a slow process. Been really moody lately and said a few things at work that werent very sensible. Not sure if the finasteride is having effect or if Im just hacked off anyway. Anyone else get mood swings?
