Age 22, NW2. Excellent family history of hair. Thoughts?

Yeah, it is a little bit frustrating. But I guess I prefer that to seeing myself lose hair noticeably and knowing I'm screwed. If it really bugs you, I suppose you could actually measure how high the furthest receded point is from your eyebrow, or something like that. Personally, I try not to...

Age 22, NW2. Excellent family history of hair. Thoughts?

It's been exactly 8 months since I posted my first set. I got nervous after seeing my hair sweaty so I thought I'd give myself an update. It's hard to tell since my hair doesn't seem to be cooperating, but it kind of looks like the "tip" of the V got thinner. However, best I can tell, the...

Anyone Sufferers Here Have Long Hair?

Temples? No. I have to wear my hair up for anyone to be able to detect my temples. And even if I wear my hair up, it requires enough product that some of my hair doesn't curl in a way that masks the recession (it's hard to explain but take my word that the temple recession is pretty much...

24 Years Old And Receding Temples, Need Advice.

You sound exactly like me, then. I'm just sticking with my fringe (I have a messy one since my hair's wavy) and forgetting about it. Like you said, thick hair means hair transplant is always an option and who knows if there's some actually good drugs in 5-10 years time.

Consider a side part. That's how I do it (similar but milder recession). Your hair slicked back looks fine from the side, and you can wear a bit of a fringe or something. Baldness doesn't run in my family (some male pattern baldness, but stops around a NW2) and looking back at pictures, I've had a similar...

Age 24; Have I Avoided Genetic male pattern baldness?

No, but it hasn't started yet. I think you will be lucky enough to have your hairline intact most of your life. That doesn't mean you won't suffer from male pattern baldness, for example maybe you will be a diffuse thinner when you hit 35. Maybe not. I wouldn't worry about it though.

100% MBP, what do you think is causing the receding temples?

I'm heavily balding at Age 16: Feel like my life is over(PICS)

What the hell is wrong with you? - - - Updated - - - @OP, Sorry to see that man. It's been said before, but hit the gym and get in really good shape. You should be able to pull off the rugged look well enough, if you get really strong.

any realistic hope for hair regrowth?

Totally can see this happening, one day. Hell, people might willingly shave their real hair just because it's so inconvenient compared to this magic hairpiece, rocking long wavy hair one day and a crew cut the next. Alas, that is probably a far ways away.

    Is this the beginning?

Tough to say. How's your family history? Especially the side whose hair you resemble? If they are bald and started thinning around your age then yes it's probably the beginning.

    Am i balding?

Yep, hate to say it. Do you have any maternal uncles? Or do you know what the hair of your mom's dad was like? Good chance you caught it from that side.

Four questions for those of us who remember ever having good hair

I have very mild hair loss, and I'm 22 right now. I'm a NW2 (check my started threads) but I'm pretty sure my hair loss is stable based on family history so I'm not taking any treatment. 1. I am pretty conscious of my hair loss, insofar that I keep my hair longer to cover my temple and also...

Do you guys ever expose your temples (NW2-NW3)???

Is the U type recession just more advanced V type recession or what? Seems like the majority of "mature hairline" people (stable NW2s) have the V type hairline. The U type seems inevitably to lead to a NW3
