Update: New job has me wearing a hat all day, was putting strain on my hair. Shaved my head. Hairline looks waaay worse. Will put some photos up. I honestly cant believe it. Finasteride + Minoxidil + keto shampoo + dermaroller and im convinced im still receding. Could my male pattern baldness be too aggressive? Considering I started receding around 22 and im 25 now? I called the pharmacist and he said at this point, im close to 1 year of Finasteride. Hes pretty sure the drug has reached its potential as far as how much DHT is being inhibited via conversion by 5ar. He said if its getting worse or just stabilizing to try out dutasteride or a higher dose of finasteride to block potentially more DHT. Considering Ive had ZERO side effects ive been thinking about it. I just don't know if I want to block 90% of my dht. He said I could give it another year once ive reached the 1 year mark and I may see some potential regrowth but hes reassured me the drug has reached its maximum strength. Ive got to go back and look at my hairline a few months back but once you see these photos I think its convincing that Its getting worse.
What else has changed? Ive included lots of handstand push ups in my routine for shoulders. Drinking chocolate milk few times a week because my job is really labor intensive. Supplementing consistently with Vit D, Zinc, Magnesium. Ginko Biloba, Ashwaghanda (adoptogenic herbs). Chamomile tea before bed, sometimes green tea on my days off. Lots of bodyweight exercise routines. Lots of deep sleep. Its been a few months since ive touched marijuana and Im getting insane dreams every night and incredible sleep. Cold showers twice a week.
Is it possible dermarolling can be damaging my scalp? Could minoxidil be cause more harm than good? Maybe I should stay on Finasteride and experiment with some topical herbal dht blockers or topical oils? Is the shampoo too aggressive? Ive noticed lots of acne on my hairline, sometimes really dry flaky scalp. Will put the photos of shaved head up
