No signs of hypertrichosis and even if there were I wouldn't care. The foam is just easier to apply and I have actually heard the foam works better

i am currenty on liquid , which is really inconvenient with itching and redness , because i have read several study which proves it work better .
But if foam worked better i would use it for sure it is night and day in term of convenience.

I still think you're lying! 10-15 capfuls is crazy!

Well, I apply the foam all over the top scalp as if I were a NW7 trying to bring his juvenile hair back. I don't measure by capfuls but just rather spray that sh*t straight onto my scalp and massage it in all over. If I'm lucky a can lasts 2 weeks at most, but usually less than that. IIRC Pavi replied to me in one his posts that he finishes a can in 4-5 days so it could make sense to me if he's being very strict to use it twice a day and applies it in an obsessive manner that every bit of the top scalp get drenched with the foam.

By the way, just for comparison, when I was using liquid minoxidil solution I'd use 2-3ml per application.
If my body could handle oral minoxidil without feeling like I've poisoned then I'd drop topical use in a second, honestly I'm so sick of applying it topically, also seeing those 20-30 hairs stuck on my hand after applying ruins my mood. At least I'm seeing a bit of results, for now.

bro becareful with overapplication . it is not healthy on the long run.

stick with the dosage ; me i have made two mistakes ; overdose minoxidil = shedding and hypertrichosis
overdose propecia = gyno .

you always think it will never happen to you , but be safe guys , and stick to the dosage

Would you ever consider liquid minoxidil to cut costs? I find that the liquid is a hell of a lot easier to get on my scalp than the foam.

A lot of people find it allergic. Though I think any foam user should try it out a little.

Nope. The foam is so built into my routine man. 13 months. Twice a day, every day. I've applied it 780 times. Plus cost isn't an issue (thankfully) with me.

I only found one study on Liquid vs Foam minoxidil...and it was not conclusive to one being better than other..it said that perhaps the irritation caused by the liquid could create better absorption..but other than that it did not sound like either one was better/worse for hair growth.

do you guys have a link to a study or is it just from forum talk?

My derm suggests foam or liquid is basically the same thing. There might be differences in effectiveness (liquid seems to be better) and aesthetics (foam wins).

However, if you have a minoxidil+hormones therapy, liquid is the only way of course.

Pavi do you use Kirkland foam? How much do you spend monthly with 10+ capfuls per application?

In a 30 days can you are supposed to find 30 capfuls if the directions on the can are right (half a capful per application / twice a day = 30 capfuls per monthly can).

I use rogaine. I buy year supply's to make it cheaper. I use coupons and I get 30 bucks off. I spend about 130 bucks every 2 months on it

You used 2-3 ml twice a day? I use liquid minoxidil +progesterone (supposed to help prevent the hypetrichosis) and I also think using massive doses can work (but I worry a little about side effects on the long term).
I can't put it in the morning and go out with it. No way.

Also, you can get reed of the facial hair thanks to laser.

Heya, sorry for the late reply. I'm now using the foam because I became allergic to the minoxidil with PG, and I use a alot of the foam for each application as I'm covering my entire top scalp. But my hair is short and the foam acts as a thickening agent like a mousse on the hair, it actually helps me with styling before I leave the house.

Before I became allergic to the PG I had a very good run with liquid minoxidil, I literally bathed my scalp in it. The downside it made my hair look extremely greasy and as you mentioned there would be no way I could leave the house looking like that. So I have have to apply minoxidil like much earlier before leaving, altho night applications were fine, unless I applied minoxidil then suddenly friends wanna go out, it seemed like my whole life schedule revolved around minoxidil application lol.

I don't know what your hair length is like, but drenching your hair in minoxido is definitely not an option unless you have 1.5 hours to spare before going out. You could try lightly dabbing the dropper on the scalp where you need to apply thus reducing the greasy look.
By the way where do you get minoxidil with progesterone? I'd like like to try it as well. As a man, I couldn't care about hypertrichosis, love my hair chest haha. The areas where I dislike my hair (traps, shoulders, lower back) and wax them sometimes are already quite hairy so a bit more or less hair doesn't matter much. Although as a woman I guess it would suck to get hair in 'manly' hair places.

By the way what do you mean get rid of facial hair? I love my beard lol. Although I shaved it off and now keep trimmed scruff, without facial hair I'm literally a baby.

P.S. I just wrote about my minoxidil experience, post #16

Ahah, Lol.

I tought we were supposed to leave it at least 4 hours before washing our hair?

It's a prescription from my derm.

Sorry, I tought it was you who wanted to know about facial hair removal the other time.

Thank you for your answer. I will read your post about minoxidil.

Oh with a prescription... I'll try look for it online.

The 1.5 hours is about the time it takes for it to dry, so you can leave the house not looking like a grease ball.

Ohhh yes, I now remember I asked about it in another thread. Yes I was referring to the very high cheekline hairs that are closer to the eyes. Yeah thanks, I think I will look into laser in the future, get rid of the hairs in traps, shoulders, back, maybe some facial as well.
I tried waxing a few times, and I hate how it looks after waxing, it looks "too smooth/clean", I like how after like 3 weeks some hairs pop up ans that to me is the perfect look of not being hairy in those places but looking like a phaggot that waxed himself squeeky clean.

No. I had both issues. Thyroid medicine helped my hypothyroidism and Rogaine helped my male pattern baldness

Did you use thyroidism medicine before Rogaine, how do you know it was from minoxidil, maybe its from other stuff.
