Just turned 17 and got a haircut a few days ago, and it appeared that the hair at my temples has receded. My father is completely bald (started balding in his early/mid twenties, he's 37 now), so I'm pretty worried. Should I be?
Your best point at this point is an organic sulfate free shampoo.
Maybe maturing normal for a high schooler at the most.
My recession is about he same as his. Except I am 23. I have some diffuse thinning on the sides so it makes the recession look slightly worse. I think it is matured tbh. He will probably have to deal with a receding hairline by the time he is in college. On minoxidl: minoxidil is not a permanent solution. I wouldn't take that until 20 also. Can cause some nasty sides as well.
Whatever you do, don't even think of taking propecia, unless you want to suffer for life for stupid mistake, go look at guys on propeciahelp.com those guys lives ruined by vanity, and am laughing at them hahaha their gf will be ****ing me, bald strong guy with hard penis hahaha. Think bro.
Pay close attention to the temples. Looks like they are receding a bit. I suggest using a 1% ketoconazole for now. You still have a good head of hair so try to stay away from any of the shampoos with sulfates. The ketoconazole shampoo I have has natural ingredients like emu oil, caffeine and saw palmetto extract. They help stimulate the scalp. Good luck, man!
