Crown looks more than a cowlick. Luckily finasteride regrows the grown.

Ok good read thank you. Would it be a bad idea to be on finasteride if it turns out I don’t even hair male pattern baldness? Could this have a detrimental effect ?
Well it’s not like it’ll hurt your hair where it otherwise wouldn’t have without finasteride.

I believe Ashton never had hairloss or not that agressive to begin with. He has been off of it for few years and his hair still looks the same.
He was heavy receding at one point hence the bangs.

What is a Norwood 0? I will
Check out nizoral I used to use it back when
I was 19 I had really bad seb dermatitis at the time and Telogen Effluvium from post accutane use. I’m feeling torn now if I should stop finasteride I kind of just want to stay on it as peace of mind or insurance for my hair. I took some pics today and I’ve been shedding more then usual, is this expected from finasteride? Only been a week on it so far. Can finasteride spark hair loss to become worse?
Relax live you life christ.

I’m just bummed that my crown looks like it’s balding whereas it wasn’t like that before finasteride. Walking around and people can probably notice it, didn’t know the shed would be this bad. Fml. How much time does propecia even buy your hair? Does it mostly maintain what you have or slow down the loss?

Lately I’ve been seeing my scalp in harsh lighting where my hair parts in the middle. Is seeing your hair part more noticeable a sign of diffuse thinning or Telogen Effluvium? Just took my 4th pill of finasteride today so far no sides. Hair is parted in the middle in these pics.
Since I started giving you advice even though I retired, I will still help you out. You definitely have diffuse thinning but also have natural low density with fine hair. You didn't get worse on finasteride as these photos show you were already thinning after just beginning finasteride. To me you look no worse than your most recent photos. Maybe slightly better. Your crown has natural low density and although it's showing a cowlick, its most likely slowly losing density due to male pattern baldness. It could stay like that for many years as long as you stay on finasteride. I honestly don't think you are getting worse at this point. You have no choice but to be patient. If you are a poor responder which is possible, you will continue to lose but if you maintain, consider that a win. Are you Asian?

Would diffuse thinning only concentrate on the middle part of my hair though? That’s where I’ve only seen thinning so far. I am Latino. Here’s a pic of my crown at 19
I have a pattern similar to yours. Yes, it can vary. At 19, your crown was better. Some men can have diffuse thinning in a female balding pattern. Most Latinos were I live have hair so thick you never see scalp. For a latino male, you have lower than average density. Most have way above average density and don't show any hair loss until their 40's or 50's.

Shedding probably doesn't stop until around 2 months, with regrowth starting around 3-4 months. Don't worry though, this is not a bad shed at all.

The area that concerns me the most where I’m shedding is my forelock area. It looks thin af now. Is this normal? Does the fact that I’m shedding a lot right now signify the treatment is working and therefore I do have male pattern baldness?
