Hello guys,
I am wondering if I am balding or not. I feel like I notices some miniaturization on my hairline(especially the widows peak) that wasn't there before as strongly as right now might be placebo or something though.

Balding yay or nay? When I was really young, like 12 I had near perfect hairline with maybe slight temples and such. Luckily I don't really experience any shedding and such but my sides/especially my my sideburns seem to be pretty thin. Also my right side is a bit worse than my left side(norwood/temple)

Right now I am 20. Should I hop on finasteride?

The one image with a "2.Y." writte with the black marker in the bottom corner is 2 years old.

Every other pic was taken in the past week.

You look to be in the early stages of balding.

No hair loss son

What worries me a bit, is that the pic before the last one there is a bit of a concave shape and not straight like the other side. I am already taking pics since like 6 months and I feel like there is more miniaturization than before and also the little concave spot looks a bit bigger now

Doesn't mean it's gonna fall out. How are your relatives doing regarding hairloss? You might have some minor recession but that alone must not mean balding

Well my mother is fine, my dad has thinner hair then whenhe was young and a bit of receeded hairline but all together fine(hes 46). My mothers grandfather unfortunately had a somekind of receeding hairline in his 20s/30s and right now at 67 he is not completely bald but doesn't have a lot of hairs on top anymore.

Seems like the beggining, youre moving to a nw2
Damn, I think I am gonna hop on finasteride then to prevent any worsening.. Do you have any knowledge about the finasteride shed? Since I am not really shedding will that affect me?

How can people get mad at your for posting this? your hairline does look a bit higher than it should be, id say this is prime definition of a mature hairline. Hairline looks as if it moved yet you still have full frame and structure of hair. I wouldnt do anything for now, just monitor and wait for one more sign (more recession, onset of thinning) and then take action.

Not everyone has to be NW3 to get on meds. If you dont see recession on his hairline you are not a true norwood spotter, therefore you do not belong here mate.

this... It seems like all the people come here with their nw3 being mad that they can't recover fully due to the limitations of finasteride and minoxidil.

all good man, just dont let this happen again, you're making us look bad out here.

Any shape of a V hairline is indicative of male pattern baldness, now if the dude was 30 id say ok, hypochondriac go f*** yourself, but hes only 20, which means something is def going on, whether its aggressive or not.

Fair point. Take the pilllz

considering this was my advice and many others "I wouldnt do anything for now, just monitor and wait for one more sign (more recession, onset of thinning) and then take action.'

id just say your stuck on the fact that people are suggesting our only current functional treatments, which you are oh so against for whatever personal reasons you have, i get it. But stop trying to make us sound like we're shoving pills down peoples throats, when all we're doing is telling them what options they have. To be honest, i think not suggesting finasteride is more wrong than actually suggesting it, i mean they come to this site for a reason, and the least we can do is tell them what options they have.
