hair looks great mate, I wouldn't get on meds just yet but its good to have your mind on top of the situation. Monitor closely for another year or so. If you notice it still changing then yeah get on meds.

People just want to cry because they didnt catch their hairloss early enough. You would know if youre experiencing hairloss, you hair would just seem like it crept up a bit which it look like it did. You can hope its just a "mature hairline" but thats wishful thinking if there's hairloss that runs in your family. Go for finasteride if u truly believe ur hair is thinning, if your hair looks the same then it did at 15 then wait another six months and compare pics for changes.

considering this was my advice and many others "I wouldnt do anything for now, just monitor and wait for one more sign (more recession, onset of thinning) and then take action.'

id just say your stuck on the fact that people are suggesting our only current functional treatments, which you are oh so against for whatever personal reasons you have, i get it. But stop trying to make us sound like we're shoving pills down peoples throats, when all we're doing is telling them what options they have. To be honest, i think not suggesting finasteride is more wrong than actually suggesting it, i mean they come to this site for a reason, and the least we can do is tell them what options they have.

I agree with suggesting it for someone who actually is suffering from hair loss. In this guys situation the best advice imo is to monitor.

Jumping on finasteride could affect his hormone balance permanently not to mention other sode effects that even you have suffered from. Im not againsts drugs, infact im runbing a foot cream in my head ( with good results ). I just think that finasteride is a strong drug to recomend to someone with no hairloss who appears to have no idea of the possible side effects

The problem is, that my hair used to look the same. Didn't think about hairloss then and 2 years later i was shocked because it was diffusing and very very slowly receding so that one didn't even notice if one is no norwood spotter. You never know where the journey will come to an end

And okay thats a pefect example but then we need to also tell these guys to read up on the sides and how to combat / deal with them if rhey occur

you're right... it must all be made up..

I say delusion is taking drugs that literally turn you into a woman by blocking testosterone to try and save little strings on top of your head.. or maybe that's insanity?

It even helps you grow breasts!

A report published in the New England Journal of Medicine explains that gynecomastia is frequently a side effect when there is an increased ratio of estrogen to the androgen hormone, testosterone. The condition occurs when finasteride blocks the conversion of testosterone to DHT.

Testosterone is the dominant sex hormone in males; however, taking the medication finasteride can bring on gynecomastia by increasing estrogen levels.

I'm confused, first you tell us we'll become women because it blocks testosterone, then you say it is raising it? Do you even propecia bruh?

As if the world isn't already plagued with people who can't focus, people with anxiety and people with low motivation. The whole lower class must be on propecia.

So bit of a late update maybe but after visiting a derm I also got a test done that was basically taking multiple pictures of my scalp on a microscopic level which then was send to a facillity that analyzed them. What the results basically found is that I am in the early stages of balding due to the amount of miniaturized hair on my scalp, my lower thickness on the sides, and the amount of how many hair follicles I have that still have 3 hairs growing out of them and how many only 2 or 1.

So yea good thing I noticed it early.

Lol you have no hair loss. Like how a lot of the frequent posters are claiming its close to NW2...just shows how many people on this forum just have BDD. Probs a bunch of NW1s on here claiming to be NW3.
Any shape of a V hairline is indicative of male pattern baldness, now if the dude was 30 id say ok, hypochondriac go f*** yourself, but hes only 20, which means something is def going on, whether its aggressive or not.
This is not true whatsoever. Also his hairline isn't V-shaped so I have no idea what you're seeing.

That "V" hairline in his teens really got Leonardo Dicaprio, huh?

@dralex first of all, doctors confirmed its male pattern baldness so I don't know why you're still debating it.

Second of all, when your hairline has a tip right in the middle and gets recessed on the temples, it creates a v, thus indicating that miniaturization and/or recession is taking place. It's not indicative of how aggressive your hairloss will be, I wasn't implying that, I'm just saying, this is a tell tale sign of male pattern baldness.

Having a widows peak automatically kind of gives you that v look to the hairline so it's obviously an exception.
