Hello guys,
Until 2016, I had a different haircut than nowadays : I had like a "Beatles haircut", which hid my forehead, and I never thought about hair loss because my father has a full head of hear while he's in his late 50's.
But then I changed my haircut in a way that I would actually see my forehead and my temples, and I noticed that I had quite a big forehead... and that my hairline was high and in a V-shape.
Since then, I've done quite a lot of researches but I'm still wondering if if I have a mature hairline or a mild balding hairline.
I don't know why but I started to be really obsessed with that topic for the last two months. I'm going to see a specialist in three weeks, but I would like to have your opinion before.
I'm 26. I didn't notice any thinning, even though some of my hair around the edges are a bit thin. I didn't notice any important hair loss (in the pillow when I wake up for example). My... silk base ? (I'm sorry I'm not an english native speaker...) seems fine. On my father side, most of men have a full head of hear except two of my cousins : one is Norwood 4 at 37, the other one is Norwood 3/4 at 45. On my mother side, everyone still has a full head of hear, except my grandfather who had really thin hair and probably a Norwood 5 when he died at 70.
What scares me is if I'm in the shower and I'm looking at my hair it seems fine, but if I really pull my hair really hard on the back, the hairline seems much higher, and I never truly know if I have a V-shape with slightly rounded edges or an M-shape with slightly straight edges...
What do you think ? Do I have a mature hairline or a mild receding one, according to you ? Thank you so much for taking the time to answer me and sorry for the mistakes
