Its been about 2 months since ive clipped my toenails. They have not been growing fast. As i was clipping i noticed that they were bending and flexible. They also seemed thinner than normal. Used to be when i clipped it id almost get a crunch sound l. Now it was like clipping 2 stacked sheets of paper. So i looked at my nails. I chew them all the time but I had never really noticed how thin they were. I've seen people with some hard sharp thick nails before but mine feel like they would bend if I tried to use them to pry anything.
So then I started wondering if this has anything to do with my hair thinning increasingly faster over the past few months.
Im 42 now and i dont know if this age related or not. Ive seen older people with thick hard yellow tinted nails. They look cracked and brittle, but they dont flex like my do now.
Has anyone else noticed that lack of nail growth/being thin in conjunction with a period of hair shedding or thinning?
