Emily, how old is your bf? Is he thinking about having kids in the future? If so, there has been a case where a guy became infertile from taking Avodart for hair loss. Remember, this drug was mostly for men who had prostate issues and most likely were past the age to want to father children. Honestly, if your boyfriend's hair loss is similar to the guys you posted( or that was him in the photos), he would be fine starting with Propecia first and then see how he does. I was on Propecia for 10 years and when I added Advodart only once per week, I got some side effects eventually that made me stop. I was losing more hair at the front and I had a hard time keeping my weight off and started getting gyno.
I'm 19 almost 20 being taking this stuff for 11 months with great results and no sexual sides. hope it stays that way.

Dr.Reddy dutas = counterfeit in the USA.

I don't know where you're even getting this. I'm guessing you're making it up?

The mod in the first response said he checked the dutas and made sure it was real (I'm guessing this means he sent it to a lab and had it tested).

If Dr. Reddy's was producing counterfeit meds of any kind and got caught, they would be absolutely ruined and go bankrupt. It's not worth it for a large company to fake meds.

I've always researched dutas on google and literally everyone says it's legit. There's even posts saying they've had their dutas tested in a lab and it came back legit.

Why would I make that up dude? Any generic that is not FDA approved is considered counterfeit(which makes it is illegal in the USA). Dr.Reddy Dutas is not FDA approved, therefore you are not sure of the bioavailability, strength etc. You can see the FDA approved generics for Avodart at this link - https://www.drugs.com/availability/generic-avodart.html

You said "There's even posts saying they've had their dutas tested in a lab and it came back legit." Have you seen the actual lab results or are you taking their word? Did you see the amount of dutatseride per pill detected. What if a pill contained 0.001mg of the active ingredient which could pass the test. Have you considered any of those?

I should have took the FDA advice about buying meds online. This was definitely a lesson learnt for me!

Dr. Reddy's finasteride is FDA approved. Why would they fake dutas? Cipla's Duprost is also not FDA approved, and they are a massive company with FDA approved finasteride. If you would rather pay thousands a year on for brand name Avodart (Which is no different from any generic) go for it.

"Almost two months into generic Avodart, I recently started to shed like crazy(20+ hairs as oppose to maybe one in the shower). I also started feeling more energetic and could push more reps at the gym. Dr.Reddy Dutas has to be fake (not the brand but the source)or contains 0.0001mg of the active ingredient."

You proved it was working there. That's a normal reactions to the medication. Honestly I think you're a troll from your post history.

WTF! LOL I can't believe someone can be that stupid. So i'll have to break this into points for you to understand LOL

1) Dr.reddy Finax is not FDA approved! Dr.reddy has a specific formulation that is FDA approved, this formulation is not Finax. It looks like this - https://baldingblog.com/photos/reddysfinateride.jpg

2) For god's sake, a counterfeit drug does not necessarily mean it contains none of the active ingredient. It means the formulation was not reviewed by the FDA to be equivalent to the brand product. This means the product could advertise .5mg of the active ingredient but only contain .1mg, it could also contain potentially harmful inactive ingredients not being manufactured to FDA standards. Don't get me started on the bioavailability which is really important. More information can be found at this link - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counterfeit_medications (get this point through your thick skull!)

3) I actually pay $32USD for the legit Avodart if I take it EOD :) that's only $384.00 a year. Where did you get the thousand dollar figure LOL?

Answering your second part:
Can't u read?? I took the legit Avodart for 9 months before dr reddy's sh*t. So you are basically saying Avodart is fake. Who's the troll now b**ch?? LOL

It's guys like you who come to these forums claiming dutasteride does not work. I've noticed almost all these guys used generics and got their's online. humm...

Classless and talking completely out of your ***. Please show us proof that non-FDA meds provide less of the active ingredient than their brand name counterparts--particularly hair loss meds. Oh wait... You can't. And if you really, REALLY wanted to prove it, you could take your Dr. Reddy's to a lab to get tested, but you won't because you're a troll (and you'd be wrong).

If ANY of these meds were shown to be counterfeit/not provide the amount of medication they advertise, or included dangerous inactive ingredients, it would be ALL over the internet and no-one would trust the company. For some reason you can't seem to realize that it would be much more of a hassle to make fake finasteride/dutasteride than the real stuff. It's not worth enough to fake it and risk legal trouble and reputation damage. The FDA and brand name drugs are a scam to rake in more money from insurance company's and people like you who fall for the "brand name is better" runaround. Doctor's push these brand name medications because a lot of them make money from prescribing the drugs.

Maybe if you add in a few more "LOL's" to your next post you'll be more correct.

Mods, please look at this idiot's post history and ban this troll.

Did you even get past a college degree?? clearly not. So I'll have to break it into more steps for your illiterate brain to understand.

1) It's not only about the amount of active ingredient you idiot. There's also the bioavailability and other inactive ingredients that allow for proper delivery of the drug.

2) How on earth can I find a valid study comparing the effectiveness of non-FDA approved generics vs brand/ approved verisions when it would be illegal to do so in the USA and many countries? (These unpproved generics are illegal in many countries) - Take finpecia for example - http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/disgraced-doctor-who-made-150000-7031931
Find me a lab report which shows that those unapproved generics are equivalent to the brand products. It must include the amount of active ingredient in each together with the inactive ingredients. That's right, you f*****g can't! THINK for a moment, don't you think if dutas met FDA standards they would of tried getting it approved (which will cost $70000) so they would reach a wider market????

some evidence supporting why the brand may work better than even an FDA generic- https://www.accessrx.com/blog/hair-loss/finasteride-vs-propecia-are-they-the-same-m0226/

3) The price to test a drug in extremely expensive. Maybe your *** can send me the money to prove your point. Also we would have to check to see if the drugs are equivalent. This includes checking the inactive ingredients as well.

4) These drugs are manufactured in India. India has nothing like an FDA to regulate drugs. So who's gonna stop them? When these drugs get caught by US/other customs they get tested and does contain little or non of the active ingredient with possibly unsafe ingredients. Customs o only release names of the most common ones of the 1000's they find and it includes hairloss drugs.

You though I couldn't find evidence? google has a tons more bro. You need to watch the news more!

5) You said "The FDA and brand name drugs are a scam to rake in more money from insurance company's and people like you who fall for the "brand name is better" runaround. Doctor's push these brand name medications because a lot of them make money from prescribing the drugs. " LOL I died!
Where is your evidence to support those bold claims????? that's right there's none! LOL looks like that came out straightc from your ***.

6) I'm aware that's it cheap to make finasteride and dutasteride so there's really no need to fake it. But again, your *** missed the point. Those brands like dutas, finax has the active ingredient, Yes! but to what standards are those brands manufactured which will indeed make a difference.

7) I'll give your trolling *** a few months with dutas I bet you'll be running to the real Avodart soon. btw post a pic of your hair lets see what your beloved dutas has done for you.

8) If you search there are a lot of people who used the brand products first like Avodart and propecia and reported loosing ground when switching to those counterfeit generics like dutas.

9) I've tried the real sh*t and I've tried the cheap sh*t and that was my experience. Have you? SO HOW IN THE f*** CAN YOUR 26 YEAR OLD VIRGIN *** TRY TO DEFEND DUTAS WITHOUT TRYING AVODART????????

10) Lastly to annoy the sh*t out of you:
LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL..........................Lets not hope you get a love letter from customs next time you try ordering Dutas :)

Admin please if you read this ban the user JHCL1990 as he is misleading other users and posting false claims from his ***.

Any other people on Dr. Reddy Dutas?

I have decided to switch to it after finasteride has been letting my hairline change so much in the past year. It's driving me crazy.

It should be here soon. I tried it once several years ago, but switched to cheaper dutagen at the time.

EDIT: I also bought it from AllDayChemist, most of their stuff I've ordered seems legit.
