Are spironolactone and minoxidil enough?

Thx, Old Baldy.

As a matter of fact, this site
http://hairsite2.com/waseda/antiandrocream/main.htm

suggests use of finasteride . along with Lee's spironolactone cream.

I knew of Waseda's instructions but the site I found many months ago had some professionals posting about drug interactions. I can't remember what the site was but do remember someone being told finasteride. does not react badly with spironolactone.

Here's a site I do remember. First you select at least two different drugs, then hit the search interactions box, then the search engine on that site will tell you if there are any known "bad" reactions. It isn't gospel but at least you can find out if there are any reported bad reactons between various drugs. It's a pretty good site IMHO.

What you do is search for two or more drugs (or herbals, etc.), then hit the arrow that points to the "right" once your "searched" drug is highlighted in the box on the left.

That will move your highlighted drug to the box on the right. Do that for at least two drugs (or herbals, etc.).

Then click on the "search interactions" box. I did this for finasteride and spironolactone and the result was "no known interactions".

Remember though, that doesn't automatically mean that mixing both finasteride. and spironolactone. in a cream or lotion will be ok. However, it gives us more proof that it is "probably" ok. Also, my stuff doesn't stink (yet). No smell whatsoever.

BTW, let me tell u something.
1- hair loss is getting less
2- lot of baby hairs below my hair line

i will keep you posted regarding results with finasteride+ spironolactone

im also planining on using either 2% spironolactone (Lee's) or 5% CEM spironolactone to easily cover my affected areas on scalp.
I mean once daily solution and once daily cream ( + finasteride.)

The database at the above URL pertains to systemic drug interactions, not formulation stability. Finasteride doesn't chemically react with spironolactone.
