I've posted here before and have shared some pictures publicly. I'm a young guy and only have been wearing for about 3 months now. I research a lot of stuff myself and am pretty knowledgeable about everything, but I'm a very busy guy and don't want to do any maintenance myself; I'd rather go ever 2 weeks to the salon.
I'm seriously struggling with the hairline though. So far I've bought my systems myself from Lordhair. I'm pleased with the quality; they seem fine for me and the salon has given them a stamp of approval, too. I'm using full french lace systems.
The hairline, however, often lifts up after just 2-3 days, and sometimes never even lays flat at all, and no matter what, the salon hasn't solved the problem. They've even tried 2-3 separate coats of bond, plus max sport hold down first, etc. and it still is not perfectly flat and secure. I get extremely irritated when I wake up just 2 mornings after a full installation, take a shower, and have my hairline lifting up several millimeters. It ruins my entire day/week, and I can't be bothered to have to deal with that outside of salon visits. They're already using the strongest stuff, so I don't understand why the hairline is not staying secure.
I watch a lot of the Curtis guy (MyHairExperience) on YouTube and he wears ultra-thin-skin polyeurethane and says it's better for him. And he exposes his hairline, and it looks fantastic, and it is completely smooth. I'm thinking about trying a poly unit to see if it helps with the hairline issue, but I'm slightly concerned about working out and sweating. But, he lives in Florida and says they're fine for him.
A lot of people seem to say they have better hairline experiences with poly. So then I have a question. They make units that are poly around the back but lace in the front, so why don't they do the reverse? Lace base with poly front hairline, since poly seems to give a better and more durable hairline?
