So I began doing daily scalp massages and I believe it helps. My reasoning? I usually have a mildly itchy/sensitive hairline, and it's always been more itchy above the right temple which just so happens to be the area that I've lost the most hair (it's receded much further than the left side). Also that same area (above the right temple) has been very sensitive for awhile (i.e. it hurts more than the left side when I press down hard).
Anyways, since I started doing massage that sensitivity/itchiness has decreased dramatically. What I usually do is when I shower in the morning I will massage the scalp (well most the front region) for about 30 second for shampoo and 30 seconds for conditioner. Then, after I get out of the shower I usually apply Nioxin leave in foam and, while lying in a manner so that my head is below my heart, I'll softly "tap" my entire scalp for about a minute.
What are your guy's thoughts on massage and/or the best type of massage to do?
