The states is very broad my friend. Atleast a day's trip from one side of the country to another. Perhaps you could be a little more specific in your destination?

there is no way you're going to all those different places. they're all in differents parts of the united states. it's funny how some people in other countries think it's like a day's drive away from each other. it takes a 3 to 5 days drive to get to new york to california.

Whats the problem here?

I am not driving around your country. Most of it doesnt interest me in the slightest. I am flying to these places and will be there for five weeks..

Is that a problem? I know how big your country is and to be honest couldnt give a f***..so dont make assumptions.

Giggsy,

Newyork= Good times but expensive as hell.

San Fran- alright, if you're a flamer, and I don;t mean the internet kind.

Abilene- YEah dude

Oregon- Like in the game? Corn fields, hicks, why? broring

Disneyland- Wastoe cash, I would even rather go to disney World.

Illinois/kansas- Boring.

Take a little detour and hit Montreal,Toronto and Vancouver instead of those hick states. I would rather get a blow shop from a cute stripper in Montreal, than Peggy Sue with buck teeth from Kansas

Lets see, you ask for hospitality and assistance, them you slam the respondents. You did not make it clear you were not driving and these guys were trying to help.

What's up Mate, got a burr up your ***??

The Aussie accent will get you chicks for sure!

I hung out with an Aussie dude one time that was visiting just like you are planning.

The guy wasnt particuarly great looking but the chicks were all over him because of the accent.

He told me if I went to Australia, it would be the same for me because chicks there go crazy over an American accent.

Is this true?

You need to do more traveling yourself, buddy. SF is a great city, beautiful with lots of culture, and despite what your TV tells you, the vast majority of the populous is straight (and SF girls are cool).

And corn fields in Oregon? Well, they've got hicks, sure, but Oregon is border to border with redwood trees. Its a great place to go to commune with nature (though I'm sure giggsy gets enough of that in Australia).

I went to New York (Southgate Tower Hotel, across from MSG) at Christmas. Better than London in every way possible...

Vortex- Let me assure you that any yank I havbe known that has come here has picked up hot Aussie chicks. The Australian people have this mentality that we are closed off from the rest of the world. Any time a Yank comes here, they are all over him like a rash..

Hair or no hair, I have seen Bald american guys pick up stunning girls here..

The other night, I was out with a group of friends including some hot girls.. A group of Yank guys (all thinning on top) came up to them and started chatting away about how they are pilots or some bullshit..The girls went for it and lets just say the yanks got lucky

Eeeeeeexcellent... (Mr. Burns voice)

by the way, those places you chose to visit are just fine. That should give you a pretty good sample of many different parts of the country. Don't go to canada. I was there once. I never thought I would be in a place where I thought I could kick ANYONE's *** in an entire country. :D just kidding.

Amazing city. No matter what you do, make sure you see Times Square. If you have room and board taken care of, that will be good, because as someone said, its expensive. Expect $250 a night average hotel room in manhattan. Absolutely worth it though if its a visit.

San Francisco
Definitely check out Golden Gate State Park. Great photo ops if the weather is good. Definitely check out Pier 31 and over to Ghiradelli Square.

giggsy said:
Beaches, Beautiful Girls, Expect one torrential downpour of rain per day. Clears out pretty fast. Humid. Might not be bad this time of year though.

giggsy said:
Beautiful country if you enjoy mountains, fields with yellow flowers in them, etc ... but this time of year expect snow. Definitely a kick back lazy not so hip area, but interesting still.

Disneyland
Disley *LAND* is in Anaheim - Southern California near los angeles. Its a sorta neat area of town. Its still disneyland though - target audience is Mom and Dad with their 4 year old kid. Its still a sorta neat tourist area though. Weather is really nice this time of year.

Well, Illinois in the summer can be nice :) Expect cold, dreary, dark crappy dirty blah blah blah if you're talking chicago area suburbs. Everything else expect flat, empty (cold dreary dark snowy muddy windy) farmland. Either way, expect cold :)

giggsy said:
Never been there. I don't think anyone else has either :) Kidding. Expect down-home traditional people with conservative values, a church on every corner, and slavery. Kidding again. But when I say conservative, I do mean there are still many people there with that whole racism, trucker, farmer, pickup truck driving, rifle in the back, big dog, i hate blacks n jews mentality. At the same time, some of the best people in the country are in that area called the Bible Belt. Genuine, sweet ladies, good wholesome momma's boys patriotism, hard working blue collar authentic USA great cooking and apple pie. Its all what you choose to see :)

Have fun. I've been to Perth, Melbourne, and areas of the great barrier reef. Perth is almost identical to San Diego, except slightly less populated, more "untouched", and clean than san diego. Remember its winter here, so you're going to be seeing everything at its least desireable - except new york. Definitely see times square, rockefeller center, the Cathedral across from it (its incredible inside), and enjoy the electricity and vibe that NYC has to offer. There's no place like it.
