This is so very true.

But to what extent?

I think there would be a cut off where even like 6'4" and norwood 3 would be far more undesirable than 5'8" and a nw1 or 2.

In my opinion, it plays a big role if you are one standard deviation away from average.

So if you are under 5'7 I think it is better to be tall and bald rather than under 5'7 with hair. A guy who is 6 foot and bald will be able to attract more woman than a guy with a 8+ face/hair and 5'5 ( considering all other things equal.

If you are 5'7 to 5'11 (the average range) , then having hair is better than being taller and being bald. So if you are 5'8 with full nw1 hair then you will probably be better off than a 6ft baldy (assuming all other factors are equal).

This is just my opinion but its pretty logical tbh.

But theres something else we need to keep in mind. From what ive seen in life, just because a guy has hair doesnt make him attractive to woman. But if a guy is tall it automatically makes him attractive no matter what else he looks like (unless hes like next level deformed but most people arent).

i like your reasoning and agree with it mostly.

i agree height is usually a very desirable factor to woman. and just what you said, unless tall and completely uggo, a tall balding 6/10 person would fare much better than a much shorter thick haired 9/10 guy. also good to take in mind median height range good head of hair 5'7-5'11, i think that is a huge factor too where that would be more desirable than a taller but balder man.

Using the broad definition you provided, I think it does and it doesn't, although indirectly. I say indirectly because I think balding shatters the confidence of many men, and this lack of confidence leads them to take themselves off the market, so to speak. Being a Norwood 5 with a bare crown would make you undesirable to most 20 year old girls, sure, but women in their late 20s and early 30s are not as obsessed with it, generally, as men themselves are. So I don't think balding itself leads one to a degradation of many a bald man's sex life, but the question is whether or not this is truly involuntary celibacy. As I said, I believe the intermediate step between baldness and celibacy is shattered confidence. I tend to see this as more voluntary than involuntary, as you choose your reaction to your baldness, although I guess some might argue that their psychological response is involuntary like depression or other psychological disorders.

I think a slightly more interesting question is whether balding contributes towards men becoming incels in the stricter definition of the word, which is a sexless misogynistic autist with violent fantasies of retribution for womankind's sin of not giving them sex. I think the answer to this one is yes; I've seen more incel-esque comments per capita among the hair loss community than outside of it. Of course, it could just be that the type of person to become an incel happens to be more predisposed to balding, and balding wasn't the cause per se, but that seems like a weaker argument. I think the idea that the psychological damage incurred due to hair loss, and the ensuing ravaged confidence mentioned earlier, will lead some men to take out their (again, as mentioned earlier, in large part self-inflicted) frustrations on women, is much more likely than the idea that there's some genetic reason that twins misogynistic rage found in incels with baldness. But if anyone has any literature on that, I'm open to perusing it.

what if your logic and statistical prowess are several standard deviations above the average, does that impair your dating life?

Also 6’4, I wouldn’t say it was much of a curse until recently. Now that I’m insecure about my hair, standing above everyone in a crowd is uncomfortable. I still do enjoy being tall, but as I said right above this, I’d pick shorter and fullhead for life easily.
i'm 6'3'' .. isn't height good because shorter people can't see top of your head as good?

Yeah, logically it is. But when since I started becoming anxious about my hair I’m automatically feeling insecure when people look at me.

Anyone in this thread so far or on this board actually identify themselves as involuntary celibate due to the state their hair is in??

Don’t be shy to say if you are!

I mean yeah you can see the vote result but still no one has said ‘yes I am incel because of my hair’ yet.

That would be a lie to themselves, thinking that regain all hair will suddently turn someone into a womanizer is a fantasy

It depends. If you are going after hoodrats who want pookie and ray ray then it possibly could due to the disconnect. Otherwise probably not.

To the OP:

You're asking this sort of question on a hair loss forum and expecting to get realistic answers? Not gonna happen.
I can tell you from what I've seen around me. Bald guys get laid often.

Attractiveness is not only about hair. Hair is just a factor.

What I have taken away from this discussion;

Guys under 6ft need a forum of their own , similar to this forum.
