Maybe he worded it wrong but it definitely feels like the structure is improved, it stands up straight easier and styles better. It starts to contain more static electricity when you comb it as well.

Didn't expect such a negative response about hair systems. I didn't even know about the modern ones until a few months ago. Looks like results vary a bit, but the good ones look pretty good... some examples:

Skip to 4m27s:

Skip to 3m38s:

Testing the bond strength of the piece:

And this guy on reddit has gone through several, none look fake to me:

This is mostly smoke and mirrors. When you actually see and hold one up close you'll realize the shortcomings which are:

- Thickness (coarseness) of hair won't likely match yours
- Even with a good custom color and curl, it likely won't match your own and blend naturally, especially under a variety of lighting conditions
- Lace is ABSOLUTELY visible in natural conditions.
- Knots are ABSOLUTELY visible in natural conditions.

They are the last resort and always will be because they don't look as good as people pretend in cherry picked pictures. Furthermore, you will spend your entire life anxious about whether the lace/glue/tape/knots are showing, and this is what I mean about trading one anxiety for another.

Living in wigs is a different type of prison. It is not the same as having your own hair. Before anyone decides to give up on their hair and consider going to wigs, I would strongly recommend you go to a custom hairpiece clinic and actually feel/hold/play with some first. I think you'll get the idea very quickly.

Aaaactually it's not. It does work that way, both RU and estrogen gave me that effect of stronger hair within 10-15 days. I'm sorry for you guys for whom nothing works, that's probably why you're skeptical.

The bigger problem with these treatments is not how fast they start working, it's how quickly they peak. At best you may gain 1-2% coverage and sh*t just stops at that point.

If you mean REGROWTH, absolutely you will peak at a certain stage. And everyone will have a different peak. But if you use a strong enough antiandrogen, after the initial telogen efluvium, there is no reason to continue losing hair.

Also I find it funny people call finasteride "sh*t" when the combination of finasteride and minoxidil gives regrowth for 94% of men who use them. Finasteride is incredibly effective with a good safety profile. Just because it doesn't work on me doesn't mean I'm going to call it sh*t. It saves hair in the majority of men who use it. That's pretty damn good.

The reason chemicals take a long time to work on hair has nothing to do with how strong they are. It has to do with hair growth cycles taking months. You could castrate yourself completely and you might still shed for a few months thereafter, as that hair would have been pre-destined to fall out, plus you might trigger a small telogen effluvium shed with the initial hormone fluctuation.

I think too many people are too unrealistic about male pattern hair loss. If you want to stop the damage, you either have to lower your androgens (eg. finasteride & dutasteride) or you need to block them at the hair follicles (eg. topical daro, RU, oral cypro/spironolactone). None of these are going to be perfect treatments for everyone. None are going to solve your problem immediately overnight (unless you're perhaps very lucky).

And most importantly, blocking or reducing androgens does not guarantee regrowth. The minimum it should guarantee if done properly is stopping further hair loss. However, regrowth is a completely different matter. It depends on individual factors like stem cells and the degree of fibrosis which vary from one person to another. It also depends on the quality of your growth stimulation regimen.

Growth stimulation is far harder than stopping further damage because in many cases, after 5-10 years, some of the follicles will likely just be too damaged to regrow no matter what you do. People need to be reasonable about that.

Well feeling that you hair has stronger roots and feeling that hair is looking better/has better texture are completely different things.
It's more about the scalp. As soon as I've started anti androgens, my scalp loosens up and the hair feels better. No placebo here

Hello my loves

A little early update for you all. I’ve been using daro 1mg/1ml (0.01%) for 10 days. It took me 8 days to get through 40ml, so when I made the new batch a couple or days ago, I made up 50mg in 40ml because I have had zero side effects and all seems to be ok. Given that I’ve also been on avodart for almost 9 weeks now, and went through the shed at 4 weeks, it might be hard to gauge what is working and when, but I’ll give my best accounts of things anyway. My avodart shed slowed down a week ago at 8 weeks, which is in keeping with the usual 1 month shed, so I don’t think starting daro had anything to do with it. I am still shedding 60-80 hairs in the shower, but that’s just “pre antiandrogen”. What I had anyway.
I had some sides with avodart that have gone. I use my daro in minoxidil with niacinamide and carnitine tartrate mixed in.
It’s obviously all too early to say much, but my hairline is still doing its yearly recession thing (which will get to a pretty bad stage then regrow... it’s a recurring minoxidil cycle) and I feel overall my hair is still getting thinner. I will say that my part sometimes looks like it’s closing in a bit, and the other day when I blow dried it for the first time in ages I noticed a zillion short hairs like a halo around the top of my head. However, given the hairline recession and the fact that my ponytail is thinner as always, I remain skeptical until I see some solid results. I’ve taken photos but I want to wait for a few months the before I make a comprehensive post. As a side, I’ve also started using stemoxydine a week ago, just the cheap Garner stuff. Smells lovely. I’m really just curious to see if it does jack all if anything.
Sorry to anyone who I haven’t replied to. I’ve been trying not to obsess too much and keep calm which means not hanging out on the forum so much. Big ups to @IdealForehead as always for getting me started on this journey. Hopefully all works out.

My shedding has stopped!

my regime before was 1.2 g RU in 15ml pg, 10ml everclear,5ml water, 2.5 mg dutasteride 5 days per week
This combination i was still losing ground.

I added 30mg daro to my mix on Wed. and today I notice that i'm not getting any hairs in my hands from shampooing or when i apply the mix and massage it in. I'll keep updating in the days to come but right now, i'm super excited.

How many mg daro are you applying everyday?

Wish I could say the same. 2.5 weeks on and i’m still losing hair like a mofo. I honestly wonder if I shouldn’t just totally ruin my f*****g body and throw a sh*t load of estrogen at my hair. Apparently being on the highest dose pill isn’t enough, daily avodart, darolutamide, stemoxydine, bimatoprost, oral
And topical minoxidil isn’t enough. Seriously f*** my life.

Any sides? Are you going to drop ru?

I'm really thinking of trying this

I get kind of a sore back of the head and neck from ru, that's what stopped me from going any higher of a dose. Kind of like a stiff neck in the morning. I have a slight decrease of libido.
I'd love to drop ru but I'm not sure if it's the combo of ru and daro, or the daro itself.
