Two of the most successful guys I know are both bald/balding in their 20s. One's a NW5 and the other a NW4. And they were both ugly before hair loss honestly. But they're also both extremely smart and competent. One works in finance and the other in law. But I'm glad I didn't enter a field that would leave me begging employers for work.
I don't really understand what NW2-2.5s are doing on here. I wouldn't even call it balding until you start thinning. It's just an adult male hairline. I mean I joined here when I was a NW2, but I was a NW2 at age 18.
You're right regarding finance and law. Same with my field. There is literally little emphasis on looks but more on what you actually know. It's the most important thing. Like I said it's okay to see bald, ugly or fat people in this position, it's irrelevant. Having said that, say two equal candidates go up in terms of credentials (grades, experience, publications) I reckon then it will come down to the interview where appearance and personality shown matters. Ultimately both will still get the job, just at difference places.
That means I shouldn't be on here as a Norwood 2.5 at 30. I was a Norwood 1 till 24. However, you will see a mix of people on here with different degrees of hair loss. It is balding for sure and I guess we all gain something from coming on here. We have some Norwood 1s on here too following transplants or some minor thinning going on at the hairline. I think anyone with male pattern baldness or hair loss for that matter, can gain comfort from talking to others who are also treating their condition.
