I am assuming the reason why people get upset when Wolf Pack and Shookwun make derogatory bald comments, is because they themselves are not bald. Sure they have lost some hair, but would not be considered bald by the majority of society. So when they make comments like(paraphrasing): "If you don't have a full head of hair, then you look like ****", "If you have crown loss then the only option is to shave your head", "A recessed hair line looks like ****"..., it is not like they are saying "WE look like ****". When those guys make those posts, it's like them saying: "YOU guys look like ****, good thing I still have my hair and look good". I understand that most likely that is not what they are trying to say, but it comes across that way. It's just more offensive hearing disparaging remarks about bald/balding guys, from guys with minimal hair loss.
Personally I try to makes comments based on my current hair situation and my own personal experiences. Sure I would like to believe that if I progressed to a high norwood that I would just man up and shave my head and move on, but personally I know that is BS.
Thanks for the feedback. I do value yours. I try to think of what I see around me and not just my own hair, basically an open discussion. For sure, some people don't want to hear it unless it's a very bald guy saying it. I have seen bald guys say I miss my original hair or post amazing transformations but that's cool as he is bald. I do get what you mean concerning this. I will try to make myself more anonymous on this section.
Personally I advised a guy on PM who was like almost 60 with more hair than me - It didn't mean me feel rubbish. But I respect people have different sensitivities on here. As you say, I am a fullhead in a way. Tbh I was attacked for talking about my own recession too, so you can't win with that either.
I am not directing this at you notcool, because even though you write in this section, you're involved elsewhere too and give back to the community. I can't help but feel some members are not giving anything back but it's their right to post on here still as well. Removed my sig!

yea i can admit i'm nerdy but i dont think i'm ugly. just skinny and a bit short (5'6). i think i have a decent face. if i was average height and frame I think i'd be fine. and hair of course as well.
I don't think the height thing even at 5ft 6 is a deal breaker, except tall girls. And yeah, you can workout and get some hair too. I don't actually remember ripping your looks, you said I hinted or something. Don't forget you self hate pretty badly. I don't think I actually said anything to you directly. Anyway, lets move on.

@ wolf, well obviously you need hair to have a hairstyle. Now what constitutes a good hairstyle is subjective but your statement was not that or you just arent articulating your thought completley because if you just isolate your statement it heavily infers that baldness is unacceptable. Its similar to another awful statement I read on the internet "humans have hair." Do you find that also to be an innocent remark, I wonder? Either you dont consider how your comments come off to bald people or you do and just dont care. I may be insecure but im not stupid enough to believe I am somehow misinterpereting an otherwise innocent statement that is latent with underlying tones of hostility and intolerance for bald people. Stop trying to deflect the blame on us and away from your own prejudice.

.... and that is the thing about prejudice. You cannot be objective or rational when looking through its lens. Humans have hair litterally dehumainzes bald people. Once dehumanized, it doesnt matter what the object of hatred does or say, no matter how logical , heartfelt or eloquent...it's coming from the mouth of a subhuman and meant to be disregarded. You think the nazi soldiers listened to or cared for the cries and pleas of jewish families begging for their lives? No because they were brainwashed to believe they wern't human. What the hell do you think humans have hair or you MUST have hair is actually implying?!
"Humans have hair" on its own is an acceptable statement. It would be erroneous to say "humans don't have hair." Biologically and genetically, we are programmed to be born with hair as a species unless there is a disease. It's not brainwashing. It's like saying "humans have eyes" lol. What the Nazis did, was brainwashing. Or the White Americans who said Africans had a smaller brain and the bible hated them - that's brainwashing. There is a big big difference UC man.
Since you like talking about hair from this view point, it does have many functions! Protects us from UV light, keeps us warm and can cool us too. Not to mention a personal identity and an indicator of status. Lions with the most glorious manes are often the ones who take over prides. It serves to protect not just from hyena bites, but shows true leadership, intelligence and sexual prowess. It shows health and longevity. The mane can darken with age and that's when the lion really becomes feared. I remember Exodus saying black hair is like a power colour on males.
I don't think my statement means baldness is unacceptable. It just means that a certain amount of hair looks good, but once it get below that, it's time to perhaps think about buzzing it low or a complete take off. Of course everyone does what they want to including crazy comb overs, but you see it on slybaldguys as well, the debate of when to shave it or buzz it. Every advanced balding man has that choice to make. One must follow their gut and see what look suits them. Then take into account the uniformity of shaving/buzzing it.
There is no discrimination at play or intolerance of bald people on my part. I admit, most people look much better with good hair though, especially whites and asians. Most US Presidents (the worlds most powerful man), had good hair. Spencer Kobren said the same.
