Reminded me of the post I recently found. Digestive issues could actually contribute to DHT upregulation.
Bile Acid-Mediated DHT Dysregulation Hypothesis
So. in short, if you have any digestive issues symptoms like bloating, heartburn, stool problems, stomach pains etc., there's a pretty high chance that you also have bile isssues (as a cause, or as a result). And if your bile doen't flow correctly, or is malabsorbant, bile acids will accumulate in blood and upregulate DHT ("DHT stays active longer in tissues and it can nearly double local DHT levels
") via AKR1C2 enzyme inhibition.
Post didn't mention how you deal with this, but I suspect the same treatment as cholestasis and liver dysfunction. So a lot of fiber (basically fruits and veggies) and vegetable oils to thin bile and stimulate its excretion, and reduce animal fats to lower cholesterol in it.
