I thought you were gonna reset everything and keep only low E2 dose, but you're still on 5 meds?... LOL
There is a scientific concept of "inflamed ego" causing body inflammation, which is 100% relevant to our case it seems. Just trust your fkin body for once, its much smarter than we can even imagine. I did, and feel (and look) much MUCH better after reset. So much, that I can even drink every day now xD

Can you elaborate on this reset?
Do you mean taking a complete break from the medicine?

I wasn't gonna post anything on this forum but now that I will finally give up with everything I will do a final post that will put an end to this topic for me. 3 years 2 months HRT. Levels are good, just dht elevated(tried everything to lower it during this last year). My regime is Een 5.5 mg every week, dutasteride 1 mg every day, bicalutamide 25 mg EOD, oral minoxidil 2.5 mg and topical minoxidil 5% with tretinoin every night. I have even tried prednisone to lower adrenal androgen during this last month and it has done nothing at all. I also had a chemical orchiectomy(surgery was accepted btw just waiting for it). I also did a 11 and 21 deoxycortisol test with LC-MS method and everything is ok no sign of CAH or NC-CAH(did these test before trying prednisone).

I basically do this post to warn everyone that HRT does not work for every person. Maybe because your AR is too sensitive even to the minimal androgen output, maybe because some people's body upregulates in unexpected ways after long term androgen deprivation, who knows, but the thing is it doesn't work for everyone as ppl claim. I will not be an hypocrite and say don't try HRT cause it does not work, however , If after one year with good levels and a good antiandrogen + estradiol injection you don't see big improvements, don't expect much. Also if you started balding at a very young age, do not take for granted you will have indefinitely protection from hair loss especially for people that didnt get good results to begin with.

I will prob cut my hair very short and try to live life as normal as I can till I get tired of this sh*t and kill myself eventually. I will attach some pics I took earlier to show I am not lying and my hair is getting worse every single week.

First 4 pics was taken today. The other pics was taken years ago(sadly I dont have many pics because my old phone is dead and I couldnt recover any pic). HRT is not a magic treatment. It surely works for some ppl and it can work better than standard treatments but by no means it works for everyone.

This is it for me, I wish you luck in the hair growth journey.
Have you tried cypro? Same thing for me literally I was on .5mg of dutasteride + 50mg of bica and high dose of E around 10mg a week starting and still thinning only thing that stopped it was cypro for me

Show me one woman 30+ that look attractive without makeup on. Women need makeup to look both young and attractive
1754289560104.png

The idea that women over 30 look bad without makeup is a myth that is exaggerated by bad-looking men to convince others that they are not the only ones who look bad after 30. And it is a convenient tactic because celebrities almost never appear in public without makeup and it can be difficult to give an example. However, the Internet is full of photos without makeup. The next level of coping is to claim that they all have plastic surgery. And this is true, but it does not happen at 27-30, but later, because until about 33 years of age, age-related changes do not manifest themselves in a way that there is something to fight.

Chu mean elaborate? This is obviously a meme thread, nobody will even read this... But whatever, if somebody ask, why not?

Yes, complete break from Bica, duta and high dose of E2 for at least 3 months (obviously OM too, cause its sh*t, but I won't elaborate on that). Its the bare minimum to reset most receptors and pathways, but some might need 6 months or even more.
Lets start with E2. It easily crosses blood-brain barrier and influences not only HPA and HPT axes, but the entire biochemistry of the brain as well. Brain metabolism, enzymes, lipids, neurotransmitters, you name it. Neurotransmitters receptors, especially serotonin and dopamines, take the longest time to reset, and thats also considering that their pathways are gonna be fked for quite some time too.
Personal experience, my acetylcholine system was pretty fked on high dose of E, bad peristalsis of intestines and gallbladder as a result (also IBS). As soon as I lowered my dose of EEn to 3mg/week, everything was pretty much fixed. Thyroid levels were bad too, almost hypothyroid, now much better, as well as hair, obviously.
Ok, ima stop with graphomania... Just gonna state that both bica and duta also cross the mentioned blood-brain barrier, hence have some similar to E effects on body with addition to their own blocker/agonist/antagonist effects on receptors, which are similar to enzyme mutations. And these artificially induced "enzyme mutations" are pain in the ***, because they tend to cause tissue-specific errors (because some enzymes have different functions in different tissues and also tissues have their own specific proteins, which change their gene expressions via coregulation), so you won't even know which medicine caused which problem in different parts of your body, unless biopsy. Tests are useless too, because metabolite hormones are disproportionately distributed among tissues (because of their differing needs in those hormones). Let's add to this that every human has a shitload of his own mutations and here, we have a recipe for disaster.
To avoid such troubles, we reset everything, start with minimum effective dose of E and add new meds (again minimum doses) only if absolutely necessary, while recording all the changes.
Hope that's enough elaboration, cause Im outa time.
did you feel better and hair better when you ONLy lowered e2 dose without stopping all other meds? LIke dutasteride?
I may do this in the future if something bad happens but im still afraid of androgens rebound and insane hair shedding after stopping dutasteride and om to be honest... but if its the only way to actually reset everything and make everything effective again then im going to do it... i hope i dont need it

I always had rebound effect after 1mg and more dose reduction. Learned my lesson and decided to reduce by ~0.25mg/week after reset, all good. Started with 4.5mg, now I'm at 3.25mg for 3 weeks already and it seems like the perfect dose for me. And ye, I started duta the same time as E after 3 months break. No AAs atm, only dydrogesterone.
Btw, still waiting for your DHT results, bello.
did every rebound from E or AAs subside with time?

at this point i think the most logical and effective form of hrt is just e injections monotherapy(without any AAs),it doesnt touch or alter delicate pathways and its just allows you to "naturally"change your main hormone and ofc it does contain natural estradiol

I ve decided to test it in september, cause my hair is kinda improving(but still oily hair one day after shampoo,i hope things will improve with time as the body rebalance) and i relaxed about the fact that those last dht levels were probablie a lie....do you think its a good idea?
