The whole thread to me was almost like a novel. I knew that was my path and no MtF's ever talk about hair. I read the first 15 pages over and over. He's still around, he just comes on discord rather than here

The alcohol isn't much of a big deal. 1ml of minoxidil solution would be a negligible amount of alcohol. It most likely is denatured, meaning that it contains stuff in it other than alcohol that could be potentially hazardous when ingested. Again, its probably in small enough doses that it would be mostly harmless
The real concern in drinking minoxidil solution is the minoxidil itself. 1ml of 5% minoxidil solution contains 50mg of minoxidil... that's just an idiotic amount to consume orally. People on this forum are going to get someone killed from having too much minoxidil.
If you want to make OTC minoxidil solution suitable for oral consumption, I'd dilute 1ml of OTC solution in 49 ml of vodka and consume 1 - 2 ml of this diluted solution per day. That is a reasonable amount of oral minoxidil and any denaturing components used in the minoxidil solution will be further diluted.
Ethanol is the base. Well, I started using a dropper each morning on October 20 and it works I don't overthink it. It's all edible but I want my hair cause I have a ball to attend....The alcohol isn't much of a big deal. 1ml of minoxidil solution would be a negligible amount of alcohol. It was originally prescribed as a blood pressure med, so makes senseInteresting, I couldn't find anything on venous insufficiency, but apparently oral minoxidil may actually increase elastin deposition in mature venous structures.

Medicine that slows balding may turn stiff vessels supple, helping vital organs
A medicine that slows balding and stimulates hair growth also may make stiff vessels more stretchy and improve blood flow to vital organs like the brain, according to an experimental model study.www.sciencedaily.com
My dropper says 25ml but that can't be milliliters. Microliters? Anyway, I fill it up to the bottom line of the four. It's a tiny amount and tastes like quinine. It's supposed to equal 12.5 mg.The alcohol isn't much of a big deal. 1ml of minoxidil solution would be a negligible amount of alcohol. My theory is once you have it back then you can go on maintenance and women use far less oral minoxidil but you gotta grow it first. It was originally prescribed as a blood pressure med, so makes sense
I think even that would make me quite nervous, I've thought of trying proper oral minoxidil but are there any recorded issues of minoxidil causing vascular problems? Such as varicose veins or expanded veins or even venous insufficiency in your junk area?
Greatest day of my life when I got my minoxidil for the first time in 1989.My theory is once you have it back then you can go on maintenance and women use far less oral minoxidil but you gotta grow it first.
Yeah you have got it right. You have to be very careful with oral minoxidil. At high doses (I've seen people say they take up to 50+ mg/day) my bigger concern would be sudden death, organ failure, brain damage, etc.
Consider though that a small amount of topical minoxidil will also systematic. So even with topical application, you'll be having minor systematic effects. So if you have a serious cardiovascular condition I'd stay away from even the topical stuff.
Personally, I'm taking a very small dose of oral minoxidil (just over 1mg/day). Long term, my goal is to get off of it once it's helped with regrowth, partially because of any potential negative cardiovascular effects.
It's like bugs versus features....minoxidil is really just a blood pressure medication that happens to have a side effect of hair regrowth
Well the concern isn't so much vascular as it is edema in vital organs, since it can cause pericardial effusionYeah you have got it right. You have to be very careful with oral minoxidil. You don't need much. 2.5 mg is plenty. I am trying to copy the founder.Do you feel like such a low dosage has worked out at all? Even if it is more incremental?

Rassman is wrong. It definitely makes the pass. My beard got fuzzier but that's a price to pay. My eyelashes are lovely now with that and latisse. It's expensive to be me....It is impossible for me to say what in particular has or hasn't worked since I'm on so many different things. But all medications taken as a whole I have had good effects
For what its worth, I think that the oral minoxidil likely has had a positive effect since I've noticed new hairs growing elsewhere on my body besides just my head, such as having thicker eyebrows
Seems to me that you always had a really dense and low hairline. And there's nothing particularly masculin about your face pre-transition except the stubble. Although i have to admit i thought you were way younger than me.Here's some examples of temple difference View attachment 156083View attachment 156084
