It’s just surface level appearance. Drier hair is more poofy and voluminous. Your hair was probably just being weighed down by sebum. Physics. Doesn’t actually affect the health of the hair. Accutane has a very commonly reported side effect of hair loss.So why on my second week of accutane my hair has looked the best it’s looked in months? And this is only on 20mg daily and ik for a fact it’s the only thing that helps because every hair that falls out has a sebum bulb on the end of the hair.
Hair bulbs do not contain sebum. The sebaceous gland is attached to hair follicles, though.
Again, if sebum was the cause there would be massive reports of accutane or even an AA like bicalutamide being touted as “the cure”. But it’s just not the case.
