DHT is just a trash hormone that in some ppl it will be near impossible to eliminate. Every adrenal androgen is capable to convert in tissue to T and DHT. Even if you have literally 0 T 0 DHT and low 3a diol G in serum you could have high peripheral androgen convertion from DHEA-S or androstenedione. Even if DHEA-S and androstenedione are low, you could be unlucky enough to synthesize most of your T/DHT in your scalp because scalp has many androgen receptors and if you add that in top of that those receptors on balding men especially young ones are very sensitive, you have the formula for the disaster. 3a diol G could sound like it is a good test to see peripheral androgens but even that is not enough to really see what is happening on your scalp specifically unless you do a biopsy on different zones of your scalp. Same goes for the skin or the organ you'd like to know.
