OK. The reason I use the powder with min is because the cream would be more expensive as you say, plus more hassle. But maybe it's more effective - this is what I don't know.

The cream is cheap in my country. Idk about yours. And it last me like 6-8 months even with daily use on the entire face. You could try to buy the cream and use it only on temples and hairline to be sure it is being effective at least on hairline and temples where it is easier to apply

I live in the UK where everything is expensive. 20g of 0.025% is ~ £12. I doubt that would last long, but if it's more effective than adding powder to min then I'd try it. This is where I am unsure - does just adding powder to topicals work? IDK why but it makes the min turn brown after a few days so presumably some kind of reaction is happening but IDK what as I'm not a chemist.

Lol mine is £17 for 20g so yours is def cheaper. Mine last 6-8 months even using it daily on my entire face .

Idk but turning brown doesnt sound ok. I used to mix my tretinoin cream with minoxidil before and my Minoxidil never changed color.

One tube lasts 6-8 months on your face? So about the same for your hair? Much better than I imagined since creams will get stuck in your hair etc as well I'd expect 20g to last 2 weeks or something.

Yes the colour aspect is a bit strange - obviously some kind of reaction going on but no idea what.

Face + hair and sometimes even neck. You dont have to use that much, it is not like a moisturizer.

If you use it only on temples and hairline it can last years tbh. I think it would expire before you end it.

Well, it is not practical to use on your entire scalp for obvious reasons. The cream is good for hairline and temples because the skin is not surrounded by hair everywhere. Also when you apply tretinoin it expand further when it warms in your skin so it can reach the back of your hairline too.

"It is important to understand that creams melt as they warm on the skin, which makes them migrate farther out from where they were initially applied."

I would be concerned.. what if it loses potency?

Man I got a feminine gay guy on snapchat and he dress up as a drag queen..... Hes like 24 or 25 and his hair has gotten real thin... I mean to the point of needing a buzzcut... I wonder why he hasnt started on finasteride or min or even HRT. He uses wig when he dress up like drag often. But damn how thinning hair fucks with your looks. God damn it. Im glad im on finasteride and min AT LEAST.

Thinning hair destroys ones look. If he is gay and feminine I see no point for him not to use hrt tbh. Even me as a straight guy and masculine presentation use HRT out of desperation. Will never understand why feminine gays wouldnt use HRT.

I'll get a tube and try in that case - thanks for the info. TBH I always feel more is better so that is useful to know that it spreads and you don't need much. Minoxidil has never done much for me so I wondered if tret would help with the conversion that doesn't happen for some people.

Yeah I agree on the colour change but I don't know any chemistry to know what it means. The powder is a yellow kind of colour so maybe it just takes a while to colour the minoxidil? IDK.

Yeah try it for some time. I have low sulfotransferase (I did a genetic test) and topical min is working good thanks to the tret cream, so give it a try.

Yeah maybe is that but I dont think you wont lose anything but using some cream on the hairline and temples, maybe it gives a boost

I honestly think that HRT is really necessary in just 3 cases. Either you must be trans, having serious medical conditions caused by testosterone, or suffering from "testosterone poisoning" in its traditional meaning.
"Testosterone poisoning is a popular term used to explain behaviors that are deemed excessively masculine."
So basically, if testosterone induces uncontrollable behavior, where you can't be calm and think clearly when needed.
In my case, I need to be calm all the time to think clearly, because (by nature) when I'm not thinking clearly, I get instadepressed. TBH, I started HRT out of curiosity to see what effects it'll cause and was pretty sure to quit at some point, but stayed ultimately for this one effect (which btw I realised only recently). Other "meds for calmness" weren't even close in terms of quality and naturalness. Its like long lost childlike spontaneity suddenly reawakened with all its perks, like constant contemplation and seeing things as they are intended by nature, but with the additional adult ability of seeing the big picture. Honestly, looking back on my post-pubescent years, they now resemble the goofy attempt of an uncanny anthropomorphic creature to imitate how humans think and feel, while its constantly being FKed by firware, forcing it to be edgy..
Sry, got a little carried away. So basically, what I was trying to say... If feminine gay guy is comfortable in his role (not trans), doesn't have serious testosterone induced illnesses and can think straight (not mind-poisoned by T), honestly, no HRT is needed IMO. Again, HRT just for hair to me smells a bit of rather delulu, or there is another hidden reason. And that reason might be hidden from the owner himself, like it was in my case.

Do you think that taking aspirin 100mg a week its not reduce the efficiency of minoxidil?
