IF your hair is fine on the stack you are on, then don’t do any changes. If you are happy with your hair and it looks/feels good, no changes are needed. Just stick to your stack.
Totally agree, although, in my case, I think it'll get worse pretty fast, considering my last blood tests.
I just wanted to ask, why metformin and melatonin? For their other benefits? You have problem with your blood sugar, for example? I would personally remove them if it’s for hair. There are studies for both that shows they inhibit aromatase activity. Also, taurine can enhance testosterone production and that’s same for zinc. Sorry, but I personally see if something can potential affect hair when adding it. My suggestion for someone is to only add supplements when they have deficiencies and they really need it. Every factor, every change can contribute to hair loss.
Indeed, mostly for other benefits, although metformin has some antiandrogen properties, but they turned out to be meager unfortunately. I took it mostly because my HOMA index went bad (high insulin resistance), also bad lipid profile, all because of alcohol abuse. Now that all is in good range, I don't need it anymore. Taurine I take mostly to improve bile rheology, and it really helped, especially with fat digestion, it totally healed my burping after fatty meals. Zinc I'm indeed deficient in, as well as b12.
Regarding aromatase, it is comlicated. There are too many things that could potentially inhibit it, that work good for my digestive issues, that I'm forced to set priorities to be more healthy in general. The only thing i noticed is that when I gain fat and my insulin raise, my E levels elevate pretty noticeably.

Very individual. I'd say 200-250 with bad aromatase and 300-350 in other cases. Overall, IMO, >350 is high.
Unironically I had best hair when I had 278 - 329pg/ml e2 at trough with a shbg level of 61-63 nmol/L. After my shbg spiked to 91+(even 120 sometimes) my hair started to get fucked pretty damn fast and very noticeable.

Tbh, I feel like it might be connected to lack of testosterone in tissues. SHBG binds to T much more aggressively and our hair needs T, because its a part of hair cycle.

Yeah I think some T is not that bad as some ppl(me included) thought as long as is in the femenine range. I think breaking balance of T also does something weird that makes DHT to rise I'm not kidding. Like highish SHBG and bica together must be fucked up cause I prob have very little T inside tissues. DHT started to increase when my SHBG also increased

Yep, seems very likely.

I will first try to lower e2 to see if my SHBG gets lower. If that does not work after few months I will just entirely stop bica and risk even higher Minoxidil hypertrichosis. At the end of the day high DHT is worse than minoxidil hypertrichosis and if I lower DHT it might indirectly decrease hypertrichosis because hair will have less androgenic stimuli

Also my skin is excessively dry to the point I am getting wrinkles no matter how much moisturizer I use, same for hair(obviously no wrinkles but excessive dryness). My hormone balance is broken af

"Unlike DHT, testosterone can play a role in stimulating hair growth, and a study has shown testosterone therapy has a beneficial effect on scalp hair growth in female patients treated for symptoms of androgen deficiency [3]."

It makes sense tbh. Hair is getting worse the more time I am on HRT thus the more time I have my T over superseded. Like I've been with high shbg for a whole year and bica for like 2y 5 months. All that with Free T of 1.6- 2.1 pg/ml last year and as low as 1.2 pg/ml to a maximum of 1.6 pg/ml this year. Ofc bica is prob suppressing the little amount of T I have.

Yep, and that's also considering that Bica elevates free T levels, so the amount of T available for receptor is probably negligible.
Ima go sleep, GN.
