WHATEVER. I'm just glad something good came of this topic.

Man i don't know what to do after reading this post , because know i am convinced that duta can be the cure for some of us balding suferer , but i am still scared to use it , because of the fear it could ruin my hormone .
Ar you sure you didnt get more sides with duta ?

No sides.

We should all shar our bad experience with minoxidil, its frustrating that so many people waste 1-3 years before admitting minoxidil didnt help, its giving people false hope and delayed treatment, so many people are bald because they got fooled into trying minoxidil.

I see more and more people are saying that Newbies should go straight to Duta, sure looks like they were right all along, onlu Duta can halt thinning completely and often give good regrowth, its now Duta or shave the head and let it shed freely.

I use minoxidil 2x a day and have been using it for about a year.

No matter what you guys think from looking at the photos, I think my hairline is worse. I don't know what has caused it. It could be dutasteride or it could be minoxidil. Everyone reacts differently.

This thread is painful.

That's some of the best results I've ever seen. You've regrown a SUBSTANTIAL amount of hair on slick bald temples! And you aren't happy.

Insanity.

Been on dutasteride for 4 months and didn't get any regrowth over finasteride/minoxidil to speak of. Shedding drastically reduced though. You use it 1x per day? I use it MWF. Maybe need to do 7x per week...

Do you still take finasteride on your dutasteride days ?

Look, I'm happy that I have more hair in that area, but it's thin, and on top of that, my left temple has thinned back further.

Look man you're thinking about this too much. Expect a shed. Any regrowth I've had is likely due to minoxidil.

My hair was BEST about a year into finasteride and 6 months into minoxidil foam.

The lighting and quality are way different making it tough to say much. It does look like the after has hair growing back in.

You have an almost identical hairline to mine like V shaped, however my shedding is alot throughout the scalp.

Let me tell you that those pictures you took are of different quality and lighting. For this reason it's going to be hard to judge your situation.

Normally I would say you would know better than anyone else how your situation is, but for me directly looking at the pictures I would say you've improved. As a guy with this hairline I know that when you've got receding to the corners of your temples, whenever you pull the hair back you may identify your "hairline" anywhere within the receded area. That is atleast to me gives part of the illusion to good/bad hair days.

It's also possible that better improvement have occured more central to the widow's peak which gives you the illusion of worsening at your temples. I don't know how observant you've been but all this is possible.

Hope it helps.

Wanted to update and say that my temple has noticeably improved and I can once again cover up the "bad spot".
Great, so now you are willing to put your personal "recommended" stamp on dutasteride?

My hairline had almost the same thing happen. I was on finasteride though for a year and it just died. Its like i have a hole blown into it. Hair got really brittle as well. I used finasteride for 2 years and jave been on dutasteride for 1 year and 1 month with no regrowth at all or cesation of hairloss.

Here is a pic of what happened. My hairline was connected to the side fine and made a perfect widows peak.

so jchl , this is the duta which allow you to recover the temple ? stil no sides at all ( puffy nipples , gyno)?
Your situation is better than when you were at your best with prpecia and rogaine ? Are you just on rogaine foam or also liquid?
