They're not very trustworthy yet they're delivering on what they're aiming to produce, it's just that their business partner is upset that they haven't begun phase 2 in Europe yet.

If that is reason enough to immediately jump ship, then you're best off to just not invest in any company.

Replicel's questionable behavior goes back a lot farther than this year.

Yes, they seem to want to contract out all the risk. But that won't negatively impact their stock if the phase II performs well w/ Shiseido. If you are counting on RCH-01 to work for your own male pattern baldness, then making a small investment in the questionable company that created the tech/methodology is prob a good move. Especially since their stock price is so low, it has a lot of room to spike.

Edit: I'm not a financial adviser. Invest at your own risk.

This is going to feel like the slowest year of my life.
and maybe the most amazing year in hair loss industry.
now we have a solid confirmation from many sources that they are going to release data in Q1 of 2017 unlike the fidia hype where everyone just believes in rumors rather than official announcement.

I was always more excited about replicel than the Brotzu lotion. Sure Fidias lotion is exciting but it is not a cure, replicel has the potential to be a cure for some including myself.

I know this won't be a popular opinion but replicel/shisiedo really don't get the attention they deserve on this forum. I mean they are as transparent as they can be, they've stuck to the possible availability date of 2018/2019 for a while now and are gonna be showing new results soon. Immunizing follicles to DHT and repairing them permanently is a huge step forward and soon we'll know if they have accomplished this.

I agree.

To be honest, if they succeed in not only maintaining remaining hair, but inducing new follicles, which seems more plausible given recent data, this has potential to be the best of the future treatments, imo

Based on the way RCH-01 works, it really makes sense that regrowth can occur. Anti-androgens stop further damage by DHT, but as far as I know, do nothing for replacing DP cells. RCH-01 on the other hand restores those beautiful bastards.

So it's awesome to see some trial results that confirm regrowth happens. Well for hair density anyway, if I recall this is defined differently than hair count... I'd love to see hair density increase after 1+ years !

Shiseido is conducting a trial for efficacy correct? The results are expected to be delivered at the end of the first quarter of this year right?

why isnt it possible, that they just creat a centre in europe where they are culturing the dpc cells and when they are finished, just shipping to japan? i think this would be legal.

Yes it's a trial to determine efficacy and it's 12 and 24 month data from their first trial sometime in the first quarter, second trial data won't be presented until 2018. looking on their website their fact sheets with results tend to come out in January or February.

It won't be fully approved in 2018/2019 so that might not be an option initially, I would expect there to be strict guidelines at first. All steps might have to be completed at approved sites, but no one really knows yet.
