Hey guys, I took finasteride from sept to december with good maintenance but the sides were annoying on 1mg.
Anyway, I revisited finasteride this summer and started off with microdosing at .05-.1mgs and it didnt seem to help. That being said, I started using .25mgs last month with no sides so far aside from slightly watery semen. Here's the strange thing though. . Usually the shed is more or less all over my head when I start finasteride, but it's made my hairline recede this time around. The initial sides were higher libido, oily skin/scalp, and a little itching but that subsided over the course of a week.
Now it has receded to the point where the divot isnt even there (shown in the pic). Anyway, has anybody experienced recession on finasteride sheds? This is all very strange as finasteride worked for me when I used it last year.
Anyway, I'm wondering if the initial higher T and itch that first week was a bad sign. It's subsided since then, I still do have a light itch, but it's nothing that is unbearable.
Anyway, I'm wondering if any of you noticed recession in your hairline when you first took finasteride- I didn't notice any when I first took it last year, but for some reason it's occurring now, which is strange.
Anyway, here's a link to the hairline- as you can see, there are a lot of thinner hairs at the hairline now, which is concerning. If finasteride has worked for me in the past, it should work now, right?
