I have not read anyone who's actually responded to what I wrote. Everyone keeps mentioning how many more people play cricket than baseball in global terms. I don't care at all. Just because there's more people playing cricket in no way affects my argument. The fact of the matter is that if the talent of MLB was as diluted as cricket sounds, I wouldn't be speaking so highly of it. To say that baseball lacks "appeal" mistakes the fact that it is elite. It only allows the most talented to participate. Secondly, I am sick of the whole "American's are cocooned" bullshit. It's just not true. From what I know of the British, they are pretentious, worthless has-beens. You should come to grips with the fact that your country has sucked for about 200 years now. No one cares about you any more. I don't give a $#iT about rounders back in the 1600s. To imply that major league baseball lays its roots back in a bunch of scraggly-toothed Brits back in the 1600s is ridiculous. The fact that you have to go back to the 1600s is very telling about you guys. No one cares that you were powerful a long time ago. Get over yourselves and your small, cold, shitty island. Tony Blair was smart enough to latch onto America b'c he knows that's the only way you guys are going anywhere. Another relevent example is the hair loss industry. Do you see any products coming out of these other countries, i.e. Britain? No, the most and best come from America. To say you're "indifferent" to America shows your ingratitude, if not you're bitterness over the fact that we split from you guys and formed a far better country over here. To get back to the baseball topic, to say that "people only care about baseball in the US, Japan and Cuba" is so ignorant I will not even begin to tear apart the sheer stupidity of it. Do your research and you'll see about 20 different countries represented in MLB.
