How Long Until A "cure" Or Full Reversal Treatment?

Tsuji's method stands a greater chance of working because it has been done.

But Tsjui is working with mice the same as every other hair biologist in basic research stages.

Jahoda's experiments on his wife in the 90s, growing new hair from her arm via a mixture of both his own and his wife's cells confirm that it is possible.

Jahoda injected dermal cup sheath cells into Amanda Reynolds' arm. Are you saying this is what Tsuji is doing with mice?

There are also studies like BBQ man, Dhurat, and ...

But the Dhurat protocol also uses minoxidil, a drug. This does not support your claim that drugs won't work to grow hair, which is already proven, as you say, with the Dhurat protocol. FYI, scientists don't skip basic research with lab animals, including Tsuji.

Here is some more cope from actual scientists:

UCLA scientists identify a new way to activate stem cells to make hair grow

“Before this, no one knew that increasing or decreasing the lactate would have an effect on hair follicle stem cells,” said Lowry, a professor of molecular, cell and developmental biology. “Once we saw how altering lactate production in the mice influenced hair growth, it led us to look for potential drugs that could be applied to the skin and have the same effect.”

The team identified two drugs that, when applied to the skin of mice, influenced hair follicle stem cells in distinct ways to promote lactate production. The first drug, called RCGD423, activates a cellular signaling pathway called JAK-Stat, which transmits information from outside the cell to the nucleus of the cell. The research showed that JAK-Stat activation leads to the increased production of lactate and this in turn drives hair follicle stem cell activation and quicker hair growth. The other drug, called UK5099, blocks pyruvate from entering the mitochondria, which forces the production of lactate in the hair follicle stem cells and accelerates hair growth in mice.

Sometimes. Got a new screen protector and it pretty sucks.

I notced you had ceti and DP in your regiment. What are those things?

Also, is the dutasteride your taking helping you? How long have you been taking it?

Nope no seti. I was using Avodart and Finasterid in minoxidil and added RU 2 weeks ago.
Stopped the shedding 3-4 months ago, but just minoxidil was not enough. Lost a full Norwood last year without the Avodart+finasteride

We know for a fact that wounding can regrow significant amounts of hair.

In mice, yes, but not in humans. Unlike mice we lack Fgf9 necessary to grow significant amounts of hair by wounding alone. Fgf9 or an analog drug could possibly be used to stimulate and increase its production in the scalp.

At some point they will test recently patented drugs in humans that will increase lactate production in the scalp and thereby activating quiescent stem cells to grow hair. Apparently it works in lab mice of a similar variety Tsujis work is based on.

Wait, I was asking what seti is.....so dutasteride did help? It stopped the shedding 3-4 months ago, but how long have you been on it? Was there a bed shed? You were using it with finasteride or instead of it? Please respond.

Seti is setipiprant or do you mean something else?

Yeah 10 capsules of Dutasteride in my minoxidil did help me stopping further thinning and I had no shedding, maybe because I use it topically?

Had a quite agressiv thinning last year and started the mixture this April. Got just a little gain on the left vertex area, but the right side needs a hair transplant if this RU doesn't work.

My mix is a bottle of minoxidil 60ml+10 pills of Dutasteride 0.5 squished in it and 3 pills of finasteride 5mg thrown in.
Daily usage not twice, because twice would f*** my skin pretty much

Edit: Sorry you mean cetizirin. Yeah I used Cetirizin from Hexal in this mixture, but no effect. Wouldn't suggest it.

Woah, that's quite unique. Never heard of crushed dutasteride with minoxidil, never even thought that would work. Did you apply it all over? Did it cause more loss in the temple area?

Avodart are softshell capsules. Make a hole on top and squish it in.

No it actually stopped further loss, but nearly no regain AND I don't have to take it orally.

Was NW3 when I got a hair transplant got back to NW1-1.5 lost my vertex after the hair transplant that looks like NW3-3.5 now and I'm mantaining at the moment.

Will see what RU will do and thinking about another hair transplant in 2018 after the RU experiment

I've said on here many times that most people have this fantasy idea of a "cure" and don't actually know what that word means. If it relieves you of the symptoms of the disease; it is a cure.

and there is no cure without "treatment", for any disease. Even if you have to keep using something to maintain its results, it still satisfies the literal definition of a "cure", even if it's not the one you hoped for.

Come on man, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE knows that current treatments are treatments and not cures.
You can't just make up a new definition where one exists and is universally accepted.

In reply to the OP, I guess it seems, like I said before, that there is no cure on the way in the foreseeable future. And HM is not all that close if the spokesmen of the industry (like Kobren and Tillman) ar to be believed.
What is n the cards, is new treatments. And hopefully, they will roll out soon and be able to help some of us.

"If it relieves you of the symptoms of the disease" that's a treatment. İf this status is mantained until the patient has it's own pre-disease status back without any or at least a lot of symptoms it would be a cure.

Cancer patients do get a "treatment" and sometimes are fully healed, but a lot of symptoms are still existent or different different drugs still have to be taken to mantain this status.

İf we could bring back this patients I would say they are "cured".

All this treatments won't bring us back to NW0 when we where 15, but it could treat our illness and relieve us.

Come on man, and accept the literal definition of a given noun.

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/cure

a : recovery or relief from a disease

b : something (such as a drug or treatment) that cures a disease

c : a course or period of treatment

d : a complete or permanent solution or remedy

You'll notice that "D" is just one example, and not the alpha and omega.

Lol. What DOCTORS and SURGEONS say about it, especially in case of alopecia, has more authority than a dictionary.
In any case, we really need to stop splitting hairs (pun unintended). This post is about when a CURE will be out.

Despite the fact that a cure may not be around during our lifetimes, we can agree that TREATMENTS are comparatively near.

George Cotsarelis said in 2011 that if they could figure out a way to activate HF stem cells, it would go a long way toward solving baldness. And in 2017, two publicly funded UCLA scientists did just that albeit in mice, and two new drugs are patented as a result. I think the challenges now might lie in proving safety. Keritinocytes are unique cells in our body that divide rapidly. The only other cells that divide as rapidly often form tumors and are sometimes cancerous.

Hair plucking activates HF stem cells. Forget Tsuji and get yourself one of these:

Problem solved. Probably cheaper than Tsuji too!

Don't the cells of the intestine divide even faster?

Dont they say though wearing tight hats or braids can cause male pattern baldness? Or itching your head too hard, or pulling out hairs? These things would cause hair growth then and not hair loss?
