You whiny little girl. If I was your dad I'd probably smack you around a bit too, just for good measure. You say its your "right" to have immature views at 18? Pfft. Grow up, boy.

And if I was your kid, I'd do my best to make your life a living hell. Smacking your kid around does absolutely nothing. People like you deserve to kids like him. The smart dad would try and fix the problem; not like in your case where you're too stupid to figure it out.

Settle down, Bob Sagget. I dont have kids and I wont for quite a while.

I am 34 and started noticing I was receding around age 20. At the time I thought for sure I would be a cue ball by the time I was 26. Thank God, I am a slow receeder and thank God for for MIN and finasteride and nizoral.

I remember being in college and thinking I was going to be completely bald within a few years. Some of my friends whom I thought were fine, are now the cue balls.

The best comfort for male pattern baldness is seeing people you know starting to experience it also.

I'd never actually wish this on anyone, but those are the guys who are least likely to make snarky comments about your hair :)

I'm 17.5, and AS OF NOW have a full head of hair (perfect temples and no thinning whatsoever) but I may go bald because my maternal granddad (84) is NW6 and my uncle (57) is NW5, heading to NW6. Thankfully, both went bald rather slowly, they passed the mature hairline by 30 , and were NW3 only by 40. My dad's side has OK hair, everybody keeps a nearly-full head of hair throughout life. My hairline and hair texture resemble that of my dad's side, but I still can't be sure until 30. But in any case, by then HM should be out, and even if it is'nt , I'll probably be able to maintain well with Propecia, because even if I go bald, it'll be very slowly. So I'm not really worried about it as of now .
Best of luck to all of ya,
Cheers,
Arjun

25... started when i was 22, i dont remember it ever being a concern to me when i was at University etc... one comment from one guy one night "jeezuz! your going bald!" changed everything. Perhaps for the better. I think i have maintained on proscar for 3 years, but started minoxidil 1 month ago... loosing a decent amount at the moment in a shed... at two minds now as to stay or pull out. Problem is ive signed up for a $4000 laser program as a part f it... you can bet they wont refund a cent, so i guess ill stick on it!

I look at photos of when i wasnt too concerned and now its really not too much worse... comon minoxidil... dont piss me off!

37, but as vain as ever : )

noticed recession age 18, slow recession thru 20's, started finasteride at 32... Changed meds at 37 as they dont seem to be holding (probably better than I would have been without rx).

30 years old :)

Though I started receding around 19 which hit me like a ton of bricks. Luckily I was a fairly slow receder but I've started to thin quite badly recently.

Been on minoxidil, finasteride and nizoral for around 2 months now, wish I had started earlier with the finasteride though, damn!!!!

16 1/2 here. Started thinning when I was 15 and I had fine hair to begin with.

Yeah, it sucks. Fortunately, I can pull off a shaved head.

15-20 grand isn't exactly an option for everyone, as far as the hair multiplication thing goes. I'm planning on going for it if I worsen, but will be tough.

Anyhow, I'm 19, started treatment just after turning 19, and noticed my thinning early 18 or late 17. I have diffuse thinning which is good and bad. I'm not a big fan of the bald circle in the back, and I actually think I look a bit better with thin hair. I just dread the horseshoe.

I started Propecia about 6 months ago, and minoxidil about 2. Since I've started Propecia, I'm pretty sure I've lost a sh*tload of hair, so I'm hoping much of it is due to shedding and will come back. Will see what happens.
