Hey thanks for replying Pob. Thanks for the encouragement. I sure hope things do improve. Shedding is a difficult thing. The shedding has stopped though. I am hoping that the hairs that shed, are just truly in a resting phase. Has anyone recovered from a shed that almost looked like a bad case of diffuse thinning or T-E?
I'm exactly at the three month point with finasteride and minoxidil. I'm a diffuse thinner with some temple recession.
During most of the 3 months, the amount of hairs I've lost in the shower has seemed the same as what I lost before treatment. However, although I've been losing hair very slowly over the last few years, I now have a few visible coin shaped areas of scalp that seemed to have worsened since treatment. I guess this puts me in a similar position to you. I'm beginning to think I may have suffered increased shedding since treatment.
However, literally in the last few weeks, the amount of hair I can see falling has substantially decreased. I'm very excited about this as it seems a sure sign I'm beginning to respond. Strangely, I even the like the fact that I may have experienced a shed, as again, this is a sign of possibly responding.
I feel that I may have turned a corner now, and I'm hopeful that I will start to see a gradual improvement over the next 6 months. And should feel the same, eBOW.
Hang in there bro. It's a long, slow, ride but it seems we both have reasons to be optimistic.
