Some of you guys said they only get hard on fantasies, not reality. Me, I don't think getting hard in real life should be taken so easily for granted: to get hard, you have to LIKE the lady who you're making out with. Is it possible you all didn't get hard because you did not like the lady? It is an evolutionary device I believe.

There's been a lot of positive developments. Either nofap is working, or the weight loss + strength training is working, or the two are working in combination. I'm getting more frequent and harder erections, just from fantasy.

I quit using sleeping pills last Saturday night (first night without sleeping pills) as my body was developing resistance. This morning I woke up at 5am, and with no manual stimulation and no p**rn, I was getting hard erections. It was actually borderline painful. A simple fantasy would get me hard in about ~10 seconds. Not about a p**rn star or someone I had feelings for but just thinking about a hot woman in one of my cooking classes, she's not even that hot she's ten years older than me I think.

So the good news for anybody reading this who needs help -- the process works. Either nofap works, or weight loss plus strength training works. My waist size recently fell to about ~36, and my total body weight below ~90 Kg, I can't say what's the reason. But I've had moderate to severe ED for 9 years, age 23-32, and I'm healing it without bogus surgery (inflatable penis pumps, treating your dick like a bicycle tire, WTF) and without v**** for 75 year-old men that costs $10/pill. I wonder if it can get better from here. Again, I don't know why I'm better. It might be the nofap. It might simply be that I'm not physiologically capable of supporting a size-37 waist size or bigger.

It's just a ****ing relief to know that there is hope for me, that yes I will get to have sex in my future. I've actually had people tell me that penises are not that important to sex and I should just focus on giving better oral -- they can **** off.

So this morning, while being insomniac, I had a relapse. I jerked off twice. I think that's all right. I'll just keep going with the process. The insomnia is due to my body adapting to not taking sleeping pills, it's a temporary thing. It's very hard not to jerk off when I'm lying in bed doing nothing for hours. But I think that will get better soon as well.

Nofap always makes a change, it just that people are too caught up in touching/jerking it to even try a couple of weeks.

Had another semi-relapse last night.

I'm trying to spend a few weeks without sleeping pills which is part of the problem. When I'm rolling in bed bored for a few hours ...

Was getting some hard erections just from fantasy, after like the 7th or 8th one and being up for 2 hours, I jerked it. Just once though I got more hard-ons afterward. That makes my third time jerking it (without p**rn) since starting 52 days ago according to the counter.

I might start the sleeping pills again soon. For now, prioritizing several health aspects at once may be impossible and this is a good example ... continuous sleeping pill use is bad for me in the long run, but I need a break from jerking off which I can't do if I'm bored in bed for hours. Oh well. I'll just try and have willpower and stay off the pills at least for a few more weeks.

Don't allow the fantasies to roll. Make a plan in advance for when they appear. Ex: when it starts, you get out of bed and do pushups or something. Or you start learning. Or you start cleaning your house. Or cooking. NEVER stay in bed.

Also, 3 times in 52 days is quite the accomplishment, so congratulations.

Went a 4th time last night since starting. So this is turning into an intermediate relapse.

I slept from 1am to 3am, and again from 4am to 7am. I was bored between 3am and 4am. The main issue seems to be insomnia, which makes it much harder to not masturbate. I'm always afraid of geting up to clean my house as the activity might fully awaken me, I don't know, maybe that's irrational.

My plan is to not use sleeping pills permanently as the body adapts to them. I might use them 1 night a week or something.

Try some topical magnesium, it worked wonders for me, i was on the edge all the time and this helped me relax. Magnesium is crucial in circular and neural health. Apparently oral magnesium doesnt get properly absorbed, but magnesium oil (its a fancy name for magnesium salt+water) gets absorbed much better. Look on the internet about it. If you chose to try, I recommend you to simply buy the magnesium salt (magnesium chloride, also known as Nigari salt) and mix it yourself with water. Its usually 10 times cheaper than a premade product and it lasts a long time. Usually the ratio is 1:1 but you might want to dilute it more at first.

The first days were really weird but then I somehow seem to have hit a sweet spot. Just don't overdose on it, it really seems to get absorbed fast. Start slow and work your way up.

And go out and get Sun/Vitamin D. It also helps regulate sleep. Just be aware that using sunscreen blocks UVB light which is what it's needed for your skin to synthesize vitamin D.

Right but sunscreen also prevents wrinkles ... I do take a vitamin D supplement, I started a couple weeks ago. Liposomal vitamin D spray.

So do you just make a topical magnesium solution and rub it on your arm or something?

Sunscreen doesn't block UVA which is the band that causes wrinkles, only UVB, which is essential in vitamin D synthesis and causes burns (so you just need to be careful not to stay too much out). Some people even say that sunscreen might be the reason for skin cancer because it destabilizes the skin and doesn't let the full spectrum pass and blocks some essential skin processes tied to UVB.

Skin synthesis is preffered to oral supp because 1. it is long term, slow (spans over many hours, even days) 2. you can't overdose, there are skin mechanisms that render the excess into an inert form 3. because it's long term it probably doesn't burden the liver which is part of the vit D chain 4. the skin chain has more steps and it seems that there's some vitamin D synthesis locally which is very important. 5. it is unclear how much of oral vit D is bioavailable.

Yes, you apply it on skin. The more you rub it in the more it will absorb, so maybe it's not preferred to rub it too hard. They usually advise to rinse with water after 20 min, but i left mine on for days... and I probably OD'd a bit on it.

Google "ancient minerals transdermal magnesium" or "transdermal magnesium" and read about it. I just don't see the point in buying their own oil when you can make your own very cheap and easy. Magnesium salt/chloride (Nigari salt) is used to make tofu, so it's usually available at nature stores (or maybe drug stores).

Also, you could try a zinc supplement. It might make you a bit hornier but it also helps with sleep and other issues I feel like.

I already take biozinc from Blackmores.

The link you put up explicitly says "use broad-spectrum sunscreen".

I didn't use the link for that, but to show you the implications of UVB and UVA, which are different. There's no such thing as "broad spectrum" that actually works, it will only block a small part of UVA because UVA are much stronger than UVB (which is why UVB is so hard to get, it gets filtered by clouds, windows, atmosphere, pollution etc) and it will block all UVB which is what you actually need.

i'm 29 old and have male pattern baldness since my 20 i notice hair thinning and shedding and no receding hairline. just diffuse thin hair in the top + oily scalps and some time feel itchy and some hurt in the top of my sclaps.

i was always thinking that the jerking off was causing my hair problems. i jerk off like 3 time a days. but when i try to jurk off twice a week i feel shedding reducing.

i'm not sure about that but that what i think !!

and what i'm sure about is that jerking off put me in a bad psychological state. the day when i stop jerking off i feel a way better.

Went a 5th time last night, but it's like my 5th in 25 days or so, so it's an intermediate relapse. I was bored in bed, even though it only took me an hour to fall asleep.

Though, it used to take me 3 or 4 hours to fall asleep, might be a benefit of weight loss.

Later this week, when I have more free time, I will implement the sleep aid advice that was given me about magnesium.

~3x/day might be supercharging your prolactin levels. It's too much.

Went again this morning. It's been hard with the sleep.

Two nights ago, slept from midnight to 4am, at 4am was bored and rolled in bed, jerked off after a while, did not fall back asleep.
Last night, sleps maybe from midnight to 5am? jerked off, fell back asleep a little, got out of bed around 745.

So it's been a major relapse, I think this makes ~6 times, all without p**rn though lol. And somehow I'm still getting a few spontaneous erections though not as many as before ... it was really wild before my first relapse, now it's subdued. I'd like to reach that state again and for that I'll need better sleep.

I'm considering seeing a prostitute, is it ok to just contact one off backpages?

Again ths mornin, 7th time, this makes a pattern.

Went to bed at 100am, woke up at 600am, was bored, jerked off, fell back asleep and woke up at 845am which is more appropriate.

Specific pattern to resolve.

I am generally feeling better though. Libido and erectile response is not very good but far better than it was 2 months ago.

Life is better when you dont jerk off. it takes time, patience and determination though.

It's a sleeping problem. Someone on this thread recommended magnesium a week ago, I'll look into it today I finally have some time.

Nah mate. its a habit in formation, I have been there.

I used to jerk off in bed at a certain time, and then it became an on going routine that I needed to break. it got to the point where I would go to bed, and at a certain time my body, and mind would want me to fap.

What would you recommend doing when I wake up at 4am?

I guess I could just start my day early. I'm afraid if I do that I'll start permanently sleeping only 3 or 4 hours.
