Great, my hair is getting so thin that it's apparent that I'm gonna end up Norwood 6. The thinning pattern on the back of my head is obvious. I was kinda hoping for a NW5 outcome but oh well, wtf.

I wanted hair badly enough to **** up my body with finasteride. minoxidil foam worked for a while, though... but that was like 6 years ago.

Have you tried minoxidil with azelic acid like lipogaine?

I hear this quite often with minoxidil - it works well for the first few years but then starts to fail. is that what happened to you?

How long before minoxidil loses effectiveness? I've been fine on it going on three years now.

Yeah I think so. It never worked wonders but I think it stalled the hairloss for a while, like 3 years or something. Then again, my brother has been following my thinning pattern and he hasn't used any meds so I guess it could have been just genetics all along.

Sexual sides, moobs grew, etc. My penis is still curved, erection is soft and hard to maintain, sperm amount and thickness are not what they were etc. These are not life-threatening sides but enough to keep me off any kind of pill for hairloss from now on.

Have you seen a doctor about the sexual issues?

If we baldites dont have a healthy penis, what else do we have.

Yeah I've seen a Doctor but it was mostly for the urination problems... urinal leaking after peeing, very frequent urge to take a leak, etc. The test showed that my prostate did empty properly, so it was left at there. I only wonder where that leaking piss comes from then lol.

You should see a Doctor about the sexual problems with the penis. You may become NW6, but at least you will be able to enjoy p**rn.

There's no denying it: finasteride works but it is a dangerous drug. I've been taking it for +13 years and there were side effects but probably not as severe as yours. Definitely some loss of libido and watery semen. I'm not sure about gyno, maybe there was some growth but that was probably the result of my weight gain. Now that I've returned to the gym, I've already lost 5 kg.

you say it's a dangerous drug but have been taking it for 13 years. If it was that dangerous why didn't you stop? And you don't give any solid evidence:

loss of libido - you've been on it for 13 years, you've aged since then - your libido isn't going to be what it was when you were 20.
Watery semen - many seem to get this side on finasteride, I have it. Apparently it doesn't affect the sperm detrimentally - hardly 'dangerous'.
Gyno - you put that down to gaining weight.

Maybe GHG did experience more serious sides - I'm not going to argue that, but I'm skeptical that finasteride made his penis permanently curved

If nothing else, hookers are more than happy to welcome baldies, so ur better off staying off of finasteride.

Unfortunately it doesn't make a difference if you believe it or not, I'm the one that has to live with it and I got absolutely no reason to lie.

ghg, your speech "impediment" is a very mild one - non-native speakers who dont have a hard r would have it worse.

I have stayed away from minoxidil after doing a hefty amount of research on it's supposed "premature facial ageing" tendencies

My brother's pore size on his face has really exploded since taking minoxidil. Anyone else have increased pores from it??

Well, I did have very oily scalp and face while I was on it. Now I'm more on the dry side, which is even more annoying...
