Did you get gyno as a result of taking finasteride or was it a pre existing condition. Also are you overweight?

Im glad someone else understands how awful it is. I remember first day of school my junior year back in 03' and I walk in the door and first thing I hear is this group of black dudes "oh man that dude has titties! Damn!" And then on a trip to a friend's wedding in Nashville we had to stay at a hotel with some other guys and this one dude saw me without my shirt and said "hey you put a basket on his head you'd think it was a 13 year old girl." So yeah it sucked pretty bad considering I was skinny and decent looking besides that.

Funny, after that last UC comment I can easily see him being one of those guys making the comments.

I can assure you gyno is NOT funny. It's mortifying and really knocked my already fragile self esteem - I always cover up in layers to hide it, even in hot weather which sucks. I can never go swimming or to a beach or anywhere I'd have to go topless.

It's as bad as male pattern baldness - in some ways worse, because male pattern baldness is at least associated with masculinity. A man with a swollen chest is the equivalent to a woman with no breasts.

Definitely almost as worse as male pattern baldness. Really I found the surgery worth it. I didn't have enough money for it at once so I did a monthly payment plan. I have a normal chest now and not one person has noticed scars or that something looks weird.

I love how hypocritical some people are. They'll talk about how awful it is to get made fun of for balding but turn around and make fun of others for their other natural "flaws."

what's hiden beneath that is awful. being regarded as leser person. something very deep-seated.

i don't think of you as leser person even if you wear a bra.

Some folks here said that finasteride didn't cause my gyno. Yes, they are right! finasteride DID NOT CAUSE my gyno, but it made it far worse. It was virtually undetectable before finasteride, but finasteride made it that much worse. I'm blessed that most ppl think that I have pecs 'cause I work out, when infact most of my "pecs" are fat tissue. And I'm not fat, quite the opposite, my body fat % is low for a man but after finasteride all the fat is in feminine places, in waist and chest areas.

i must add, today i bumped into some steroid guy who looked at least 3 times bigger than me and i didn't even apologize, just kept walking with a swagga like a boss. wasn't even scared. didn't even give a fuk. maybe because i was intoxicated. felt good.

That picture is all too familiar Fred, it's been years since my surgery so I forgot how bad it felt. At least with losing hair I can go to the bar and see at least 5 other guys who are the same. But being a skinny guy with man boobs made me stick out terribly. I remember thinking flat chested guys didn't know how good they had it and wondered what it was like to look like that. Being a loose in the cage guy slipy, you can't possibly understand what it's like but if you're really the type to poke fun at others you have bad karma heading your way.

Nah I don't wish ill on people, nor do I believe in karma as some mystical thing. I just think that people who act like jerks will bring the negative attention on themselves. Most of the agitators on this site are probably meek, soft-spoken types in person anyway yet they feel empowered behind a screen.
