I think I can be welcomed to the fully bald population of this forum now...

I'd love to hear from those who said that I'm not even balding just a couple of years ago...

Can u show us pics of your moons? Any before and after pics?

I don't know what moons mean... but this is my hair in 2006:

I had already been thinning for a couple of years but I still had like 70-80% coverage which is virtually unnoticeable to the untrained eye.

The way you talk about yourself I was expecting a quasimodo look-a-like from the Hunch Back of Notre Dame.

I've never considered myself UGLY ugly... I'm just not very handsome and i have bad skin due to seborrhea. In that 2006 pic my skin looks perfect, though.

You are balding, but not bald yet. UCMan and I have shiny domes.

You look very nice in that 2006 pic, even with a wrong hairstyle.

I gained weight while on finasteride, the Gyno was atrocious. It only went away(mostly) after significant weightloss. The area has remained sensitive, it's also one of the first areas where I start gaining weight if my weight fluctuates.

Anything else you're on that might be influencing it? I've heard of Tea Tree Oil(commonly used for skin ailments etc) causing Gyno before.

No its definitely finasteride thats to blame... my chest area became sore in hours after popping that first pill. Soreness subsided with time but extra tissue/fat remained. I dont use tea tree oil.

there's a difference between true gynecomastia and pseudo-gynecomastia. Pseudo is gyno made up of fat caused by putting on weight which sounds like what you had. I don't think you can blame the finasteride for that.

In the rare cases than finasteride causes gyno it's true gyno - increase of hard glandular tissue and/or puffy nipples. My gyno developed while on a medication (not Finasteride) - the med caused changes in my liver, raised LFT enzymes - which leads to an increase in estrogen. I hate it, but I can't afford surgery to remove it.

well done for losing the weight though - how did you manage it?

There is a difference, you're right. I don't tell anyone this but after puberty I developed gyno. No matter how skinny I was I had man boobs. Those who didn't know thought I had pecs but if anyone found out I got made fun of. I would have random people at school walk up and give me titty twisters in the hall. Anyway, this was long before I took finasteride and more than one doctor said it wouldn't go away without surgery so I went ahead with it back in 07'. Im still glad I did too.

so yours was true gyno rather than pseudo? Did the surgery leave scarring or loose skin at all?

Im pretty sure it was true gyno because I got rail thin at 145 lbs and 6ft tall but it stayed the same. I believe when they did the surgery they had to remove the glands that caused it. More than one doctor told me surgery was my only route if I wanted them gone. Man, it was so embarrassing.

Imagine being the body type of say Orlando Bloom but having these man breasts that could only be hidden with button up shirts. I imagine I could have made a good tranny haha

No loose skin to answer your question. They make incision around the nipple so there is a faint scar but hidden by the circle around the nipple if that makes sense. They do a good job of hiding it and the untrained eye would never notice it. It looks great.
