Honestly if it's been chronic this long and has affected your hair, skin, and lifestyle, I would go see a dermatologist.

In terms of symptom relief coal tar shampoo is the best anti inflammatory topical I've ever used.

I have seen two dermatologists. I have had a scalp biopsy as well. They told me my scalp looks super healthy. It's the follicles that are being raped.

@buckthorn Try dermarolling, it really sorts me out. It takes the itch away and replaces it with extreme pain.

On a serious note I too have searched far and wide for a cure for this itch, even further than ash in his conquest to become a pokemon master and nothing has really worked for me. Do you find it gets even worse when you start exercising or when you go from the cold outside to the warm indoors?

Probably another futile post, but I HAVE to keep trying. I tried finasteride for a year in 2015 which caused unexplainable inflammation, which continues to this day.

It's unbearable. I can't cope with this.

The only thing that ACTUALLY works is drinking, which I cannot continue to do. If I don't drink, my nights are a nightmare just because of the horrendous inflammation.

You need to drink more, and start using harder drugs. That's the only way to make sure the itching stops.

Try smoking marijuana. If that doesn't work, use heroin, or something else.

Now if that won't work, try hydrocortisone solution.

done. doubt it will work, but thanks for the input.

Buckthorn has posted pics of his hair, he's lost density but has good coverage.

will everyone shut the f*** up? I mean please? This post is about horrendous, unbearable scalp inflammation and methods to remedy it... not about your critiquing my rotting birds nest.
