I'm curious about prolonged effectiveness. If I understand it right, finasteride loses its effectiveness after a certain amount of years as the follicles become more susceptible to DHT, making even low DHT levels due to finasteride have an increased affect on the follicles. If Brotzu considers all alopecias to be at their core caused by loss of circulation to the follicle, and that genetic thinning due to DHT being one of the causes of loss of circulation, then I wonder if there's a point where the effect of DHT on the follicle overwhelms even the lotions circulatory effects.

Alopecia is still not fully understood. We understand the link between DHT and follicles but there are still some questions I haven't found answers to. One of them being why does finasteride lose its efficiency? Is it because hair follicles are more susceptible to DHT. If that's the case why? Also another question to add: Why do some men not start losing hair until their 30s, 40s, or 50s if they weren't losing hair during their 20s when DHT was probably at its highest levels? As we age, do our follicles begin to express more Androgen Receptors? If so, why? What about men who keep a completely full head of hair (NW1) til' very old age? What the heck is going on?

We know male pattern baldness is polygenic. So I'm assuming certain genes trigger more and more loss. But what do these genes express? When are they expressed and what causes their expression? Genetic research is a rapidly growing field of science so I expect a lot of these questions to be answered within my life time.

I think practically speaking though this lotion could just buy us even more time for future treatments. I'm 19. Ideally I'd like to keep my hair til' I die. But seems like genetics aren't gonna allow that since I'm losing it so young. So hopefully 1 of 2 things happen:

1. The lotion holds me off for better treatments in the future or even "the cure" (Tsuji) so that I can keep buying American Crew Fiber til' I die.

2. I come to accept my hair loss b/c the older you get the more normalized it is to lose hair. And as you get older, things aren't as dynamic. You aren't concerned about too many variables. In your teens and 20s, you are concerned about your education, career, attracting a mate, making friends etc... As you get older your life becomes more static and physical appearances do not matter as much. It's not that at 40 you'll stop wanting hair (no man regardless of age wants to lose his hair), it's just you won't get the social stigma b/c a bald 40 year old man is normal.

Yeah there are actually a LOT of questions with male pattern baldness that are not even remotely understood which is why I have so many doubts about an male pattern baldness cure outside of actual hair multiplication or growth from scratch.
I think finasteride/dutasteride lose effectiveness over time because as you get older you either get more receptors for whatever reason, or cellular aging causes hair to grow ever more sensitive to DHT. Assuming your genetically susceptible to begin with, and I do think most men are because with age the incidence of male pattern baldness goes up.
We dont know if this lotion will be effective on men with aggressive male pattern baldness or not. They should make a light, medium, strong version of the lotion with varying amounts of s-equol so based on your male pattern baldness aggressiveness you can treat it appropriately. You dont want to use high s-equol levels if your male pattern baldness is slower or less aggressive.

Would this lotion have any effect on a healthy scalp? There are so many healthy-haired women that want thicker hair and buy all these fake products to do it. I wonder what the effect of increasing the blood flow to a healthy follicle is. Because that's a whole nother market that has potential with this product.

Maybe @beps63 can not only translate it, but also confirm us that it´s true and the lotion works better than we think!

I was thinking about using minoxidil 2%, because I´ve using finas since 2010 and I´ve lost hair. To be honest, I´m a bit scared but I am gonna wait for the lotion if someone tells us that will be released at very beginning of 2017.
