science is based on proofs... believing without any proof is called religion...
You are right science is based on proof, but this science makes sense and therefore has credibility, so me believing that, my dog actually has a 9-5 job working as a plumber is religion ?

no expert here... just a realistic guy which sticks on science and not on miracles...

While totally impossible to conclude, on one side @sangan89 does make a point, we dont have 100% proof yet. We only have anecdotal reports and a few blurry pictures from the brotzu camp that it's the real deal. Simultaneously we hear it has stability issues and others havent seen any regrowth.

I do think @sangan89 is adding unneeded controversy with his downer opinion, but ultimately his soundbites are just noise.

I really hope this works, and I keep checking back here because Im cautiously optimistic. However simply my opinion here but we've been speculating for 1.5 years about a lotion we dont know much about. I really hope this works, but defending one point vs the opposite is simply blowing a lot of hot air. We wont know until we hear more from Fidia, the rest of the 495 pages is hot air.

In the meantime, lets try and simply report the facts vs homegrown broscience opinions.

how would this "science" make sense? there has been no confirmation in the medical environment that DGLA liposomes may have any effect in treating hair loss AT ALL

sangan is nobody..... maybe a desperate guy who was banned likr many other ill people.... Talks about science and knows sh*t about it. Don't take this guy serious. He is a clown like Fikrettin.

Somebody @ the other forum said that his uncle's best friend works for fidia and he will ask for more information. They live in Cagliari.
Sounds very good. It's not 100% sure but every Information is welcome!

I think that the truth will come out soon. They cant keep it any longer behind locked doors. Maybe a few more months?!

of course I am nobody, never said of being a chemistry guru or having PhD in biology at Harvard...

however, even a nobody can read the Brotzu lotion patent and understand inside it there is NOTHING which has been proven having any effects on baldness... it doesn't even contain any DHT inhibitor, which, as far as science knows, is the only stuff that really has some effects on hair loss... curing male pattern baldness with prostaglandin and DGLA? seriously? if these two things would really work, anybody would be able to make a homemade brotzu lotion using these ingredients without need to have a patent for it

argue, which of those ingredients have a prove effect on Androgenetic Alopecia?
From the patent: "PGE1 is a drug acting on several levels: it inhibits type 1 and 2 alpha- reductase, is a vasodilator and improves angiogenesis".

The lotion contains DGLA which is a prosecutor of PEG1. Now the ingredients haven't been extensively tested before but the mechanism of vasodilation and alpha reductase inhibition are both well known to help against hair loss, just look and Finasteride and Minoxidil.

Your point about needing a specific ingredient that's proven to help against Androgenetic Alopecia is ridiculous. If you are trialing and testing something new you won't find extensive information on it. That's kind of the whole point of trials, to access the product.

Also the patent itself has a little section regarding results in some people. And if Brotzu is full of crap and his claims are lies then there's still Fidia that's conducting trials. My alarm bells will only be ringing if Fidia themselves say the trials don't show much efficacy or if they just simply shy away without releasing the data.

They are asking same questions over and over again, arguing about the same things, while product is not even on the shelves. This thread gone sh*t and is full of mad people.

I have finally found the original source/message. The guy says (sorry for the poor translation, it is Google´s fault not mine cause I don´t speak Italian):

Hi guys, it's about a year since I was following the affair of the lotion, and being interested how all of you asked an uncle to know if he was acquainted with the professor, I am from Cagliari, and he replied that he was his teacher at university The other or discovered that she should live near my home:
ph34r.gif
......
In my uncle I told about the lotion and told me that one of her dearest friends works in fidia and is now interested in getting news ..... just, and if I should know something I'll let you know.

That´s it, let´s wait for him to report again! xD

Bellicapelli

Why is that all these rumors and "so-and-so's cousin/mistress/dogwalker told me...." originate from the Italian forum? Obvious answer is because it's an Italian company and Italian doctor but even still. I think the language barrier is creating some kind of "telephone game" phenomenon, it's a situation that's rife for rumor mongering.

Our dear member Sangan89 is now active on bellicappeli. Anyway, Spiga, the guy who claims to have seen a guy from a norwood 3/4 who has fully recovered now answered to Sangan89 (the clown) the following:

Sounds very good :D

He does not sound like a troll. This sounds more like he is really convinced and very sure that this lotion is working as the professor said.
