Quick update guys. This is the second day ive stopped taking propecia. My hair is now visually worse off from it, the temple hairs are INVISIBLE close to the root, which was never the case before and still wouldn't have been had i never touched the stuff. Ive probably permenantly turned on the balding process in those hairs which is a real kick in the teeth. I'll continue to update and let you know if i recover, which i probably wont. Let this serve as a warning for anybody wanting to stop a receding hairline. I think the elevated T causes the recession of hairlines. I count myself lucky i got out of it when I did or my loss could of been alot worse. For those who are gonna tell me it was just the shed, it was accelerated THINNING of my temples, i did not shed while on propecia. The hair strands go from thin to completely transparent, almost as if as soon as i started taking it my male pattern baldness kicked into overdrive.
Of course this wont be everyones experience but please take a moment to consider propecia CAN leave you worse off and ive provided photographic evidence to prove it. ( its actually much worse now )
Im done with treatments. I may give propecia another shot in a few years when im balder, it may help then? Who knows?
Anyway thanks for reading through my failed attempt at trying to stop male pattern baldness. Ill update in a month or two and let you know if i still have the accelerated loss or if ive regained ground. Until then im going to be looking into hair pieces, i sure as hell dont want to be rock slick bald by 23 - 24
