It was a long time ago when I was using arginine, and I don't remember the exact timeline for when I started to get the libido-enhancing effect. It almost certainly won't happen after only a single dose. I dunno, I suppose I'd do it myself by starting a couple of days or so before the "hot date" and concentrating on it during that period. For example, suppose that the date is on Saturday night. Ok, I'd take my standard dose of arginine (I was using one level teaspoon, about 3 to 3.5 grams) on Thursday night at bedtime on an empty stomach. Then again the next morning (Friday morning), waiting at least a couple of hours before breakfast. Then again Friday night at bedtime on an empty stomach, and again Saturday morning after waking up (holding off on breakfast again). I _might_ be good-to-go by that evening.
Keep in mind that something like this is going to have to be individualized for each user. Experimentation is going to be necessary. And even though the libido-enhancing effects have been noticed by a lot of people who use arginine, it doesn't seem to work at all for some others.

Harie said:For those that want an HGH release, you need to take massive dosages of arginine before bed (most HGH release is generated while you are asleep).
Harie said:If you're taking L-Arginine, forget about it, waste of $$. Be a real man/woman and take something like AAKG, Citrulline, Arginine Pyroglutamate or DiArginine Malate. You'll have to take MUCH less and will achieve better results.

"The combination of L-arginine pyroglutamate and lysine can be an effective growth hormone releaser at much lower doses than L-arginine or L-arginine hydrochloride. This is probably because L-arginine pyroglutamate crosses the blood-brain-barrier much easier than other forms of arginine."
Bryan said:HAHAH! That's from the discredited Isidori study. Pearson & Shaw themselves have criticized it, and don't use arginine pyroglutamate. They use pure arginine, which should tell you something right there!

No, they didn't use APG, I never said they did. Pearson & Shaw even use Arginine Pyroglutamate, AAKG and L-Arginine in their HGH supps.
Harie said:Log onto some body building sites and see what they all say about L-Arginine. Granted, they're going for pumps etc, but I use their evaluations as a base line for which arginine product is better. In fact, based on body builders reports, Di-Arginine is the strongest arginine supp on the market right now, followed by Arginine Pyroglutamate, Citrulline, AAKG, L-Arginine and Arginine base.
Harie said:Where does the futurescience article say it's based on the Isidori study? There's no mention of his name anywhere in the Arginine article or the HGH article.
Harie said:The futurescience link I posted did not use APG in their studies, but they mentioned it being more effective than L-Arginine.
Harie said:Even the people's names you used to try and discredit what I posted even use APG in their supplement.
Harie said:There are not many studies on which form of arginine is more effective. I found a few links, but you didn't like them. Then you name dropped Isidori, even though the article I posted never mentiones his name one time.
The combination of L-arginine pyroglutamate and lysine can be an effective growth hormone releaser at much lower doses than L-arginine or L-arginine hydrochloride. This is probably because L-arginine pyroglutamate crosses the blood-brain-barrier much easier than other forms of arginine. In many countries, a capsule containing equal parts of L-arginine pyroglutamate and lysine is available. The usual dose is 1200 mg of L-arginine pyrogluamate and 1200 mg of lysine daily.
