Hey guys.
I'm 23 and have got slight recession but mainly thinning in the frontal third and particularly in the temples. It's been on it's way for a long time but i had a massive period of denial thanks to both grandfathers and father having good hair. But it's accepted now, and i'm trying to battle it.
I've been on 5% minoxidil for around 2 months, and my hair is responding surprisingly well, which is nice. However, just my luck, it seems that i'm getting sides. I'm having what appears to me to be water retention all over the body, including the face.
Now, I've read from some other forum areas that water retention from minoxidil can even itself out and become less of a problem with increased use. Could anyone clarify this information? Or share their experiences, similar or related? Also, would a drop from 5% to 2% help? And would that drop affect my regrowth progress at all?
Hopefully I can figure where i'm at and where to go. I would be devastated if i had to stop using minoxidil because it's really given me a lifeline.
Thanks.
